Whatever you decide to go for, I advise you to try to test one out first.
I say this from experience as when I started about 4 months ago I was set on buying a PM7 but as soon as I tried one out at a walkon I knew instantly that there was something about it I didn't like and at the same walkon fell in love with the Etek.
So personally I would recommend an etek but whatever you choose, try one out before buying if you can.

Have you considered an ego/etek? COuld get a 2nd hand 07, or a new etek for that sorta price.

Simple to use, easy to maintain and you can get it repaired if you ever break it really easily.

yeah that is the current generation of Etek, I have the older one, the Etek rather than the Etek2 (thats the one you linked to) and while its a few years old it still holds its own and is a great marker for the price, you can pick one up for between about £180 and £240 depending on the upgrades it has on it.

if you go with a pm8 i would have to say yes, but the marker will only go as fast as you can pull the trigger

yep as dark angel04 said it will only shoot as fast s you can shoot it.
but the leap in the price might get you a lighter gun, a better looking gun, a better feeling gun , better efficiency, more programable , more adjustments nd better performence overall.

I have never understood the whole speed thing i play moslty woodsball and use my SLG on semi and switch to psp at the end of the day if i have alot of paint left and want to get rid of it quickly.

The only area that my SLG lets me down is accuracy and distance im hoping this will improve with a good barrel but i will still get a PM8 and use the SLG as a backup gun but i just hope that the PM8 will give me the wow factor

Thanks
