Crump- a good rule of thumb is to bin goggle lenses the minute you see any kind of scratch beyond surface wear and certainly if you see any kind of crack. Lenses aren't so pricey and better to drop the cash than risk them failing. If you need a spare set I have a set of Proteus to hand so I'll sort you out and protect you from Tortoise
