single part annodizing

I'm thinking of getting a few bits, and getting them annoed to match my geo (pops, dye ul barrel) but I noticed on the custom pb website that you need to add $49.99 for a polished finish, does that still apply to single parts, because I only want two parts in a polish finish?

yes the polished finish is a seperate operation, the alloy has to be polished before annodising then annodised

Could I do this at home before hand, you know like when people polish there guns to get a chrome look finish or are specialist tools needed?

it can be done yourself ive done it
you need to strip the existing anno 1st ,i had caustic soda at work so used that but some oven cleaners contain strong enough acid to remove this,
then, its the polishing, its quite straight forward if u use a small mop and compound, but remember the better polish finish you get the better it will come back after annodising

it's not clear but i would guess that the charge is mean't to be added to a full gun annodising job. i'd email Kent to be sure, no doubt he'll sort something out for you.
