Should modern markers which can bounce/ramp/stack shots also be banned? Do one do 'em all.

If it's a walkon, and everyone has there own markers then why should they?

If you ban anything that can go around/above 15 bps, then all your left with is spiders, and infernos and the other low level markers. You may as well run punter days with the site markers and drop the walkons.

Full auto takes the micheal a bit though.

The Tippmann and Automag RT's used to be banned at all tourney's and legit type sites (at least here in the US). However, in the modern days of legalized cheating/skill replacement, or whatever you want to call it, I don't really see much reason for the ban anymore, unless of course you have a ban in place on ramping.

i thought they were illegal in this country, as technically isn't it classed as full auto? you hold the trigger and it keeps firing?!?! there was a thread about this long ago chris. if you try a search you might get something up which is valid? :)

Mario you are right it is technically fully auto, so is any gun with ramping or in my opinion any gun with adjustable debounce.

However fully auto is not illegal in the UK, paintball guns are classed as toys.

The rule that springs to mind regarding RTs is what Bully uses at his tourneys (at least he used to) which is 'dont take the piss'. In other words if its really easy for anyone to hit the sweetspot then it needs turning down, if its pretty you nearly bust a blood vessel tring to get the sweet spot then its fine.

From what I remember Tippman RTs are alot easier to sweetspot than automags.

Level 10 mags (sweet guns) are really hard to set up so you can hit the sweetspot.

Its your site yeah? You pay the insurance yeah?
Well you tell them what to do, sometimes you just have to put your foot down and not let people 'take the piss'.
It may see less paint being shot by these guys, but surely the ones who are complaining, do this because they are being outgunned (or is it overshooting which is a different matter?). Take this option away from the 'cheats' and the rest will shoot more and have a better day. Everybody is happy apart from the gimp who needs to learn to walk the trigger, not bounce it!

Well in theory ;)

(takes tongue out of cheek)

Huh? Fully auto isnt illegal in UK?

Nope,

There is no law that says a fully auto paintball gun is illegal (so long as it shoots paintballs at less than 300fps).

In fact any electronic gun that goes over 10bps would probably be classed as fully auto in the eyes of the law.

That doesnt mean the home office have tested fully auto paintball guns and deemed them legal, it just means they dont see the need to make a law banning fully auto paintball guns at the moment because up to now we have behaved ourselves.
