Agree on the saftey bit Micah.

I think that a seperate "mini" league during the main tourney scene would be a great idea. Spectators would love the variety of games they can see and us pump players could show off the "Phat" skills we got. (no spray and pray for us)

We shall see what happens and maybe pumps profile could be re-raised.

Tyger would we see you on a pump tourney scene? I hear you kinda shy away from the tourney scene? Any truth here?

Peace out Ya'll,

(from the Brit who really tries)

theres a site near me which still uses pumps as rentals. the only semi's that are used are the ones that ppl bring with them and they get split up so there are an equal amount on each team. and believe me playing with a pump is no fun when your used to a semi, my poor arm was acheing after a day playing pump:(

I've never played a non-tourney (or prep for tourney) game that was pump only. I LOVE playing against the 16 bps people with my stock gun. I can usualy keep 4 or 5 down at a time because they know (or think anyway) if I'm shooting at them, I'm going to hit them first shot if they don't get their ass down. I think it's the funnist thing ever to see a guy with a stock 'gun commanding the field and taking a whole side almost solo ...

Pump is cool !!

At Skyball is was great to watch, At the third Skyball the pump divisions were again fun to watch and ref, the only problem was the players who thought they would just try pump for the fun and didn't get enough schooling in how to set their marker up (one team turned up to be given the pumps and told there's the field go play!!) Lots of hot gun penalties (sorry guys just doing my job). I played for five years using a pump the last two when all of my team and all the others were on mags, icons and golden eagles etc and it was hard going but still fun!! At certain times pump only tournys have been organised and attended well but the organisers have not repeated the events :( . I did say to Tyger that I would play with his team for the next Skyball but it didn't happen (me flying out Skyball, Skyball doing it...oh and Tyger emailing me lol) all a shame cos it is great to watch and play , even though the press reviews had a dig saying that in the pump leagues all the players were slam fireing (who cares ? still can't fire the volume of the most basic semi...well you can if your pump is setup correctly) but still not playing the game to be negative about a brave step in tournament organisation. To play pump only and go home with a few welts instead of loads is always a bonus. Oh BTW what Tyger forgot to mention was that when his team Tip 1 played with pumps they were playing against teams with semis and I think that one of their games was the quickest max in the tourny.

I deffinetly think that pumps should be encouraged.

I've been playing for close a little over ten years now and this summer when I was at the field I pulled out my snipper III and it created quite a sensation. A crowd of people gathered around and one guy actually said " So you have to do that every time you want to fire a ball?" (meaning pump it) and yes he was shooting an angel.

I think that peaple should at the very least should know what a pump gun is.

Actually, yes. I'd do it, only becasue I prefer pump events. Well, with my hand in acast it kinda sucks, but otherwise, I'll play in a pump tourney.

1 : See, if Skyball wuold have kept the pump division, you'd see dome die-hard pump teams showing up for it. But, becasue of their messup, they saw it as a failure.

2 : The PGI dig was from someone who didn't play in the events. Yes, ther was a lot of auto-trigger / slamfire (whatever) but ther ewa also a lot of 1 shot takedowns and some great bunkering moves.

3 : Oh, that game... hee hee! I dind't mention that for a reason, we've been held up to repeat that every year since, and nobody wants to go into history as the team that got spanked by the pump guys. :)
