Hey! Easy Killer, I'm building my first cocker from scratch with not alot of previous knowledge. Fortunately, I like to tinker and I am mechanically inclined.

For someone who knows definitively what they are doing or someone who knows nothing I would agree. For me (someone who knows just enough to be dangerous) tinkering is half the fun of being a cocker owner. I also have two other guns for when I really screw it up. The day someone stops learning is the day they die. Till then I'll keep tinkering and learning.

Learning is definately a good thing. It keeps your mind growing and makes life worthwhile. I try to learn as much as I can every day, then try to figure out what I learned means and what to do with it. I'm still searching on a number of things, though. The answers will all come I suppose.
