Cheers for the input Lump but the whole bolt/cans set up has been cleaned several times and all the o rings replaced (inside and outside of the can and bolt). I'll strip it again to double check.

just a quickie is it an aftermarket bolt as some of them if the can is in the wrong way it will leak.i know this as i have the evolve bolt in mine and if the can is in the wrong way it leaks

Have not had time until today to act on the advice given on the thread. Followed the advice provided; removed the bolt assembly and cleaned inside the marker (there was some grit etc inside), reassembled it double checking that the bolt etc were the right way round and now..... the air leak is worse than it was before and it still won't fire. Is there an easy way to check the solenoid is OK?

That was a touch vague.

The exhaust ports are about half way down the solenoid and the manual activation button is a touch past the power button on the solenoid board, you have to use an allen key or something else thin enough to0 push the button through the small hole in the board.

Replacing Shocker Noid

Just picked another noid, will try that and see if that sorts it. Will test the noid currently fitted following the instructions provided below.
