My Dynasty was working finer than Eva Mendes in skimpy undergarments all day right up until the last game on Sunday. Just before the game I was having real trouble getting it to switch on and off, and was having to hold in the power button for what seemed like an eternity compared to the normal second or so. Eventually it powered up and was working ok again, until I decided to make a kamikaze like break down the field and the thing failed on me (not the ideal thing to happen in that situation!) and was just ‘chirping’ without spitting any balls out. Now, I’m not a Shocker expert but my understanding of this means the eye’s on but there’s no ball registered in the chamber for it to fire, right? So I hit the power button again to put it in non-vision mode and it was spitting out single shots but also a couple of blank shots, and wouldn’t kick into ramping mode. I switched it back into vision mode and it was working ok again but wouldn’t ramp. Anyone got any ideas what’s up with it?

Also, some told me that a ‘true’ Dynasty Shocker (which I thought mine was, it has the DY serial code on the body etc) fires up as soon as you touch the power button, you don’t have to hold it in like you would on a normal Shocker. Anyone know if this is true or not?

Thanks for any help you can throw my way people!

Andy.

sounds like you left it in programming mode and activated some of the settings - the chirping could indicate that you were cycling or adjusting modes rather than firing shots .

also the immediate switch on is all to do with the board your using nothing to do with the marker - if you know what i mean

Yeah I thought that might be the case mate. Guess the guy i bought it off might've switched the boards.

Shizz, I didn't know it had a programming mode. I thought there were 2 modes off that switch - vision and non-vision and the rest was done inside the marker on the board. Dam, I've probably right screwed it now!!

if its still in programming mode on the board (dipswitch settings) and you turned it on whilst holding down the trigger it will go into programming mode -it could not be that though bud - get the board manual first and check its doing what it should be

just a thought - are you sure your loader was feeding it properly - it wouldnt be firing blanks if there was a ball there you know ? also sounds like a loader issue ie no ball no ramp

Yeah good point fella, hadn't thought of that. Presumed it'd still ramp but just fire blanks if that was the case though mate?

Not if the eyes were on, wouldnt let it ramp it it couldnt see any balls.

And some boards dont allow ramping without the eyes on, as you'd just make a nice mess in your gun.

Sadly mine does chap, made that nice mess in it once before and learnt the hard way!

Sounds like Dskize is right then, and its down to the loader. I'll drop one of my pals hopper's on the top and see if that sorts it out!

Cheers mate
