Shipping Markers - US > UK??

So I am thinking of buying a used marker from the US. And I was wondering if there are any rules/ regulations on having it shipped to the UK. Am I allowed to have it shipped without any issues. Thanks

Risk of it getting stopped at customs. Some people have zero problems, a few have had them held up for a while. Not sure if anyone has ever had one destroyed though.

Risk of heavy import tax if the paperwork isn’t done “correctly”.

Tricky to have much comeback if something goes wrong as you’re in a different country.
What are you looking at buying?
