What Kitch says is very true...we dont seem to suffer (in the same way as PBN for example) with a great number of fools...probably as they arent tolerated and those that do remain, are either not bad at heart, or provide entertainment value!

But there are people who seem to want to either mislead, or are so self important that they fail to see the error of their ways, despite significant evidence to suggest they are wrong.

From a personal standpoint...I dont generally post if I dont know what I am talking about, or cant point someone to somone who does.

Apart from the "pragmatism at its most insidious" comment, where I didnt know what I was on about!!:D

I dont know a great deal about the Tournament scene, top teams etc so I dont tend to comment, or I ask to be enlightened...my knowledge is more technical, which is why I can often be found posting in teh techroom...tho less of late, due to the decline in Cocker usage.

Robbo...I was under the impression, that posts in the Classifides, didnt contribute to your post count?
But it seems they do?
Not to harp on about post counts!:D

The problem is Dk, a lot of these guys know a little or have played a few tourneys but then seem to think they are then qualified to either have an opinion on everything and / or qualified to answer any subject.
An old saying suggests, 'A little information is dangerous', this is so true, especially in the hands of an idiot or bigot.
They surface every day in these forums....

Skeet, I wasn't aware that post counts from classifieds didn't count. I will check.

The thing with these forums which is nice is that it becomes immediatly obvious to everyone if you dont know what your talking about.

There are people on here who will correct you no matter who you are straight away pretty much and so i dont think a huge amount of damage is ever done.

It's places like Pbnation that possibly do the real damage.

Saying that, i mostly post bollocks :) (but i dont hide behind anonymity like some ;) )

I'm completely new to the paintball scene, having only really started up in December more or less and tbh I haven't came across alot of the bullsh!t that some people have found. Any questions I've had are usually answered sensibly and with what I hope is knowledge of what I'm asking. Skeet has replied to a few if I remember right and I've never questioned his answers unlike the fool that wants to make a plug :p
Not really an opinion more of a comment :p

...
As for the other stuff you hint at, I have earned my stripes and I NEVER write posts to admire them afterwards like some !
I write them for reasons, that for the most part, should be blatantly obvious.
i wasnt implying that you wouldnt or that the pros arnt doing enough,i was saying check out the newbie forum from time to time to help them out a bit. one guy asked if his stance was ok, only amatuers replied, not a single pro did. so now he might be thinking hes got a nise stance even though its completely wrong...
correct if im wrong but isnt the newbie forum there for a reason? i.e. they DON'T need to post in SYB or announcements because theyve got their own forum to post silly but important questions

and the last part was joke btw ;)
