Hi all,

Everybody knows that the Series200X is (and has been for a long time) the best UK tournament series.
It has a series of legs held at roughly 50% woodland 50% speedball venues.

I read somewhere that for 2003 the recently much improved Midlands Masters series will be hosting ONLY Speedball Tournaments on SupAir & Hyperball. This has made the MM very attractive to me as I'm no longer a fan of Woodsball for tourneys since the Okey accident at Nottingham.

Does anyone know if the S2K3 has a similar plan to be either entirely or predominantly Speedball next year?

What do other players in the S2K2 think about the Speed/WoodsBall issue?
Would a Speedball-only S2K3 be better?

Lemme know what you guys think...

Cheers

Jan.

Air Rules

Must agree with the consensus so far, ditch the woods (altogether for me) I'd rather play 2 STB on air, they are a fantastic spectacle and worth doing at least twice a year!

Any news on the divisions for Sunday yet?

Watch this space!!

50/50 woods and supair - Jan you must be playing a different series, we have only had two total woodland events to my knowledge. Yes there will be more speedball next year we might only have one woodland event.

There are certain sites were to accomodate the teams wanting to play we had to use woodland (Nottingham being the example) the question here is do we restrict the teams where we are limited on space for airball- hyperball???? I don't know??

There will also be a new format for series 2003 - this is currently being sorted

Also new for 2003 in conjunction with the Midland Masters, the SWPL and hopefully another event organiser the ************ ************** series. Sorry still in the discussion stages so you will have to wait.

There is a lot happening so "watch this space" later in the year

I'd agree about dumping to woods, I broke my Tib and Fib at Spring leg (no pun intended) of the Pheonix four seasons, which kinda screwed my playing up for the last four months.

there's something nice about running and sliding and not worrying about tree roots, or rabbit holes.
