There not that bad..... not worth banning anyways!, you get more padding and protection from breaks by wearing baggy tops and trousers!

Got to agree with that - it seems like a bit of a witch hunt to me! What about shin and knee guards? Flexible masks? etc etc I'm sure it's just a storm in a tea cup...

Well firstly, you should only wear one layer under your clothes.

Knee pads are there to stop you from breaking your knees.

Elbow pads help you face dive without breaking bones.

Flex - 7 is there to stop your mask from moving.

Shin guards are only really usefull in woodlands (so....BAN THEM, and woods) ;)

Dyes new padding is there for one reason only.

..........to cause controversy :p

If you ban the tops, you will have to ban flex masks, beanie's, shin pads the lot.... Its a waste of time and everyone will be much happier.

But it doesn't really matter what the padding is *for* if you are going to ban padding, then you have to ban padding. Full stop.

The basic argument is that the padding stops a ball breaking, but that possibilty exists wherever there is padding, regardless of what the padding is supposed to be for. Whether is be slide shorts, elbow pads - whatever. But I don't really have a problem with people wearing as much padding as they want because I think the difference it makes to a ball breaking is negligible. It is more likely to make the wearer a slower and larger target, which is fine by me.

I haven't got the slightest idea what the padding (if you can even call it that) on the Dye tops is supposed to be for and I certainly agree that the only thing is seems to be doing is causing a stir, but all I can say is that if it stops a ball breaking, I'd be suprised, but then even if it did - I wouldn't be convinced that the same ball wouldn't have bounced regardless of the 'padding' on the top. It's just not thick enough to make a difference when a paintball is travelling at 290 fps at it!

But this isn't really the place to discuss this, so I apologise for my ramblings :D

Your wrong, im not. :p

All of the above have a real purpose, the dye ones have got protection in places where you SO dont need protection.

I dont know why im argueing, cause i couldnt care less wether they are banned or not.

So on that note, ill quit whilst i assume im ahead;)
