The Dye i4's are not that much more expensive than the proto's, I'd recommend holding out for a little while and getting them. The i4's are more comfortable, have better vision and pretty much the same profile as the axis. I know i4's weren't on your list but they are basically better proto's. I own and use both BTW.

the protos are like the i'4s but are slightly heaveyer have sligltly less field vistion but offer more protection however i find it slightly difficult to breath in them. but i hate the save phace masks for so many reasons to many to talk about

fair enough. wel the i4 just seemed a bit small for the larger chap(like me) and the axis seems alot closer to the i3. what are the reasons u dont like them? just list a couple :D

I'm 6 ft 5" and I wear i4's .

You should see if you can try a pair of each goggle for a game and see which you like best. It's one thing trying them on the side of the field and another thing using them on the field ;).
