if our sport worked like other competitive sports thered be no problem, division systems with relegations and promotions would soon sort out who should be playing who, look at the english football leagues. if only i could run this sport, itd be so perfect and we would all get along just fine :D

my oppinoin is this if you make the sunday club at a millenium event then you should step up at the next millenium event eg we went to toulouse and just missed the sunday club. we then played campaign and made the sunday club so next year we shall be stepping up to am b at the milleniums its no use paying money and trying to look good on the stand when all that will happen is you wont get any respect for it if you are in a div that you are ripping up so see you all next year in am b and yes there were a few teams in as novice which to me i saw these teams in toulouse ripping it up and going threw to sunday club then playing campaign in novice again now that is sandbagging i spoke to nick from skirmish and he explained to me about the draxus vip team that it is never the same team so i respected that and we had a real good game and yes they were different to the people we played in toulouse cheers nick for the game and we shall see you soon ;)

Thanks Lee

Diablo / Draxxus VIP are simply guests, the VIP team put in at CC only had 2 players who played at Toulouse. I have played for Draxxus over the years, the last time was toulouse 2002, at every event the team does'nt meet untill 1 hour before the first game & usally ends up with 5 back left players & 2 centre mid players. we are lucky if we all speak the same language !!!

We don't walk the fields cos we dont have time and every game plan is the same, we all pick a bunker & run to that, if we get in we carry on playing & just wing after that. Team captain is decided by who makes the best coffee & can be bothered at the time..If we get shot we walk, more time for a smoke & drink.

As & when draxxus ask me to play & I have the time I will & i don't care what division, Draxxus VIP is all about having fun playing paintball, so sandbaggers ? don't think so. There are plenty of other teams you can point that finger at !!!!

Red heat, Good luck next season C ya in the middle.:)

The guys from Wicked rang up and asked what division they should play in and they were told Am B.They did not know any better. I was talking to them over the event and they jokingly asked me how they would go about stepping up to AM A mid event...;)

They were a great team and a total pleasure to judge, accepting of decisions and great guys.

looking forward to seeing them next year in Toulouse and Campaign

Maybe sponsors and pb media should also look in the mirror in this matter.
I know that somehow it has became to a situation, that pb media and sponsors seem to appreciate more teams finishing constantly in top 4 in AmB than teams which take placings 6-10 in AmA. Not quite, but a bit same thing with the Pros...

Everybody likes to win and everyboy likes winners. And if even sponsors and media brings up those teams, why should go up before you can be on top of the next category? I personally respect more the team ending up 8th in AmA than being 2nd in AmB, not to disrespect enyone, of course. What do you guys think?

And I'm not by the way bitching anyhow on our behalf, just thinking this in general.

I personally think it was a huge mistake to name catogories as they were this year. It should've been the way it is in the States: Pro, Amateur, Novice and Rookie. That should tell the truth. Who had this idea in the first place?

My take on the Novice thing

To everybody that played Novice that shouldn't of done - You know who you are so do most of us. Was it worth it? All you have proved is you can't beat guys who've just started out :D
thanks, But now we are in limbo and still in shock, we as a team are now worried what we should do as we do not want to get labelled as a sandbagger! C/C was really hard work and we would have no problem with moving up to Am B next year. BUt for the minute we do not know what to enter as in any tournament. so guys with those that have a lot more experiance give me some usefull advice as we do not want to jump and then drown .

This post is ridiculous, having a decent gun, hopper, tank etc does not make you a great player. Just means that you have the money to get what you perceive to be the best kit there is. Novices in any sport can have the best equipment available, doesnt mean they are gonna be any good!

Johan, stop stirring, Kapp were am A, they played Am A. Wicked are a US novice team, they played Am B, which is where they were told to play by the CC staff. They asked me on the friday how to step up to Am A, but i told them it was to late. SharpShooters didnt even place in the top 4......they were in the right division, Am A, and were nothing special. How can any of these teams be accused of sandbagging? If you took Backlash over to the States, where would you play? Am of course....the same as over here.

The leagues are supposed to be parralel in terms of divisional talents, they are notm, but thats not the fault of the teams. Dynasty played pro in the states and pro over here, why should Kapp, Wicked etc..feel that they should step up for no reason?
