lol i just thought it was really really funny to watch the novice finals. Dont get me wrong it was a great game and both teams played really well, but to see fully kitted up teams with all the latest guns, i mean they were properly kitted out egg hoppers n all.

Earlier on the sunday i seen a team that didn t have matchin sh*t on, sum where firein really basic markers, i just think in novice it should be those teams in the finals and the boys with all the gear should play am B.

Now a aint sayin that cause a teams got the gear the gonna have the game, am just sayin that a team all G'd up with Angels or E-blades have a advantage over those who for some reason cannot have them, say money reasons or just started playing or something.

The Clan had never played a Millenium event at the start of this year yes some players had played in Toulose 2 years ago but most hadn t played a Millenium event, but we still entered as Am B cause we didn t think it would be fair to enter as novice, with us tottin E-blades n Angels and just that we had a decent established team, fair enough we hadn t played a Millenium togoether yet as a team but we still went Am B. So if we can do it, and we're a bunch of hung-over Scotsman, why can't half of the novice division do the same thing??

Team I guested with were in the novice div. I would say only two of the teams we played were true novice teams. I recognised several major Am A players in at least four or five of the others.
This is going to be a major issue in future, if paintball is going to become a "real" sport. there must be some way of seeding individual players on a points system and having a maximum points allowance for Nov. Am teams!

I think the RPS Viper team may have just qualified... I think the average experience on that team is something like 10 years! (minimum).

I don't think they should have been playing in Novice.

Erm - that could be because novice teams don't just play other novices, but some Am A and Am B teams as well!
Having said that, there were certainly a few teams playing novice who wouldn't normally be classed as that, but the rules clearly state who can and can't play the novice division so I suppose you can't blame them for trying it on - it may be against the spirit of the competition but it's not against the rules. Personally, I'd be a bit embarassed if I was playing for a really decent team & we'd entered the novice division, rather like snatching candy from babies IMHO.

Maybe another division then?

Personally i think a lot of teams fall between novice and Am B. Tsunami came 6th in Novice. There had been mention of us 'sandbagging' but i beg to differ. I have only been playing tourney paintball for a year. CC 2k2 was my first tourney. At least one other member of our team has only the same amount of experience as me. All of the other members have played only one Millennium, with the exception of one player i believe, having played two, maybe three. Two of us joined Tsunami in March/April this year. None of us are super-fast, young guns... lets face it, we could all do with either a gym membership, diet sheet or age transplant!! Last year at CC Tsunami came very near the bottom of Nov, we would have been well out of our depth in Am B. I'm sure there are lots of teams just like us. Maybe it would be an idea to split novice into Rookie and Novice (I think 66 teams competed in Nov?) and keep rookie for the newly formed inexperienced teams and leave teams like us in Nov until we have taken part in two millenniums and gained a years experience?? (Obviously now we have entered two millennium events we shall be in Am B for the next...)

Why would Draxxus VIP qualify for that award.

They are a Team entered by Draxxus in a couple of the Millennium Events made up of customers, to thank them for their custom. No two team is ever the same and mostly made up of different nationalities and 9 times out of 10 they dont even know each other until shortly before their first game.

Why place them in AM B to get slaughthed, remember we play this sport for fun.

Im sure they dont fly people in from Finland, Sweeden, Norway, Iceland, France, Germany and every other european country who has played for them to train and play in tourneys every month like most Am B teams do.

Personally I beleive they deserve to be where they are.

There inexperience showed as a team during the semi finals when they got mullered in all three games.

I take Jon you must be on a team that didnt do to well against them.:)
