Its wierd in a H&S pissed country, where you need a fire extingusher sign above a fire extingusher saying "this is a fire extingusher" we can be so lapse.

I mean most HSE bods are jobsworth, but in a sport of inherent danger, wheres the cover. I mean is there a regulatory boby, or is the fact you sign your life away good enough.

What any tournament series needs is one or two hard-boiled inspectors who have the authority and power to pull the plug if things are not safe, secure and reasonably set up. Promoters paying fines to themselves obviously doesn't get the job done. And vain promises that agreed-upon specifications will be fulfilled and followed up on doesn't cut the mustard either. It ends up with the people who were mislead (like me) getting the blame and the paying customers getting less than their money's worth and getting exposed to an unsafe environment and lack of property security.

Thank God for the few tournaments where things were done right.
