im sure you know what it means but if you dont - it was a slave song when they were in the fields, the chariot was their freedom and they wanted it to carry them away - could have been death or something not entirely sure on that bit - but why we sing i have no idea - and im guessing thats what you meant by what does it mean - cos i have no idea why we sing it considering it was us that enslaved them in the first place.I quite like watching international rugby but that English rugby anthem of 'Swing low sweet chariots'......it's gotta be the lamest song ever...kinda embarrassing when I hear that .... and what the hell does 'swing low sweet chariots' mean?
