RM proved to me that they are completely unfit for doing anything useful.

Special delivery parcel comes in, i'm out so i go to the office (open from 7 - 12 by the way, so it's f**ing annoying to make it then) and find they've sent it to the return address.

Why?

because the postman, wait for it.... wrote the wrong date on the parcel. it being the 10th month and not the 9th, the office thought it had been uncollected for a month. Aside from the original postman being an idiot, the correct date of delivery is stored on their electronic system and therefore should be used as the primary information.

QED, RM can blow themselves...

I hope they strike and strike because it's only gonna run them into the ground, and they'll end up without a job at all.

//hmm, that's better.. nice thread ;)

I am one of those peeps lol.

And sorry but f-ck any ballers that work for the mail! They are still on strike like the rest of them! I don’t not turn up for work because im not happy with how much im paid! If that was the case im sure the entire nation would stop in its tracks! If you’re that bothered work hard and get another job like the rest of us! Don’t stamp your feet like a spoilt child because you didn’t get what you want!

Besides they are all back at home in the morning they could always get another job! Oh sorry most of them do so there on and f'ing packet anyway!

Sorry rant over! Just my two pence!, pisses me off that people can do what they like and get what they want with no consequence these days! Just lay off half the work force to pay for the other ones raises and then let’s see how popular strike action is! Slags!

Lucky I work for my self.... I think I’ll give my self a raise!...oh just did...smoke that Royal Mail !!!:mad::mad:
I can see everyones point, Ive had trouble with RM, Only once but fairness were it's due to the ranters. I also got some straps off Markie super fast this week.

But get your facts straight!

My dad works for RM unfortunately and I have no idea if he is or is not striking but yes a couple of them are striking about pay, THE REST are striking because pension plans that they've worked for some for years are being scrapped because royal mail has spent too much cash on plasma screen tvs in the sorting offices so the boss can deliver pep talks. They're firing 40,000 people all at once because they've left it too long to do it in stages. The company is ****ed.

Some people working there are ****, stealing ect ect ect but it isn't everyone, it's not all of the people, its the organisaton and if there's only a couple of people out of lots that arn't on strike then of course the packages are going to be slow because there's only so much afew people can do.

It sucks, its irritating but there's nothing you can do unless you use special delivery or UPS or something.

It just irritates me that I know how hard my dad works for ****all pay and now no pension and people expect them not to be pissed off. It's pretty amazing anythings getting delivered.

I don't usually rant, but thats my opinion.

I heard aa story from someone in RM and he was a real Postman Pat community postie. Would do the round, talk the the locals and keep people happy with service.
He goes on holiday some young'un does the round in 4 hours instead of 6 and they are now saying you should do the round quicker. Optimise the route to pay him less.
Now the 2 hours that he gets paid extra are probably invaluable PR and Marketing.

I have guitar strings in the post somewhere but no sign yet.

I think it highlights the fact we can send parcels via a whole variety of couriers but for day to day mail its a monopoly which is wrong. But we have no other choice.
