Iv had no end of problems with royal mail, mainly due to the fact that my postman is a lazy ****, and the manager of the ashington depot is a lazy ****.
One week i had a load of stuff arriving, so i decided to take the week of uni (i work late evenings)
EVERY day, the postman just posted a card throught the door telling me to either pick$ the parcel up or call the office for redelivery. he couldnt be arsed to ring the doorbell and acctually deliver it. claiming htat i wasnt in on the days, when i blatently was.
thing is, it costs me £5 toget bus to the ashington sorting office. **** am i gonna pay a fiver every time i want to get a parcel. just cos of a postman's incompetance.
So i aarranged them to be delivered. they werent,
so i rang royal mail customer services, spoke to a woman for about 20 mins, then she said "hhmmm this is strange, ill just go get my manager"
then after being on hold for a furthur ten mins the manager of the whole of the customer service department came on the line and told me that in order to get something redelivered, an email is sent to the manager at the sorting office. he then gets it redeliered.
thing was, the ashington manager hadnt cheked his emails for TWO WEEKS, and when that guy rang him he was AT HOME when he should have been at work. so he got the ashington manager to personally deliver the parcel by 2pm that day. the phonecall only ended at about half past one!!
since then iv tryed to avoid royal mail like the plauge. bunch of useless ****s.
parcel force arent too bad though. ordered something from slothball, at 4pm, and by 9am the next day i had it. and its not like slothball is just down the road either, its at the other end of the country!!!
