Hey guys,

Just want to know your experiences with this service, i was supposed to recieve a marker today (posted at 11am yesterday) but low and behold no package, the website says

"Your item is currently progressing through our network for delivery.

To check your item's progress please come back later. "

Kinda peeved about this as it won't turn up tomorrow because the SD service is Monday to Friday only (you apparently have to pay even more to get a saturday delivery).

This is the second time this has happened to me. I'm pretty sure you can complain and get a refund as my 'guaranteed by 1pm next day special delivery' is now not going to arrive until monday (4 days).

Any info, experiences or general rants in the direction of the P.O. appreciated :)

my past experiences are not good. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news :(

I have had a lot of items with this delivery service and most of the time it is late or the mail guy cant be bothered to press the intercom button so I end up having to go the the post office.

Maybe I have just been unlucky or they just dont like me but I was not impressed.

lol, for marker now read "life saving medication"

There was no red leflet informing me that they had tried to deliver and there website says that it is still within the system, hopefull will arrive tomorrow. Postage on markers is steep so will def follow the red tape to the pot of gold at then end, will cover a crate of stella!

btw: Please do not mix alcohol with medication.

Any ideas on how to claim back? Hopefully not a simple 5000 words on my problem and posted to PO BOX B. Rick Wall :(

I have had good service from the special delivery, apart from the one time that they lost my passport and some bank statements being sent to me.

Yeah, that was not a good few days.

Hey Guys,

I have sold over 1000 items over my ebay accounts and in all that time I have had ONE Parcel that never made it, which was an X-BOX 360 game. So I supose I have been very lucky with royal mail. These were all sent using their services from 1st class to next day special delivery, with items ranging from 20.00 up to 5,500.00. The key to successful postage is to ALWAYS print the label from a computer never by hand, because this can ALWAYS be used as an excuse by Royal mail as to why the delivery was made late.

Hope this helps you out.:)

Some special delivery items (especially markers) when scanned are marked up as surface post only (massive orange stickers all over the package). So they don't arrive next day but a couple of days later as they have refused to air freight them. Had this happen a couple of times when having markers sent from down south.

I've sent loads of parcels over the years, and i find that the influx of cheap student labour in the summer, totally disrupts the average service you normally get, to a totally crap service.
