Rookie mistakes???

In a tourny What is the stupidest or biggest rookie mistake You'v ever made???

I'll start us off:

1st tourny i ever played about 3 years ago, 1 of the marshals checked me over and realised i had 3 layers on.
so i put my gun down took off my gloves and battle pack, legged it back to were i could take my gogles off and took off a layer.
ran back in grabbed my stuff and got to our end of the field, we started and all was going well untill i had to reload, felt round my back and realised i had no battle pack on, i'd left it by the side of the field, D'oh!!!

lol, yeah I've done that sort of thing before. Went to a tournie at Dragons Lair and there was 1 field where there was a great run for even a fatty like me to be able make down one of the sidelines. just before 1 game we all walked out to the field, got to the base, broke out and as I was running I thought that it felt a lot easier to run this time doing the same run. When I got to my bunker I suddenly realised I had left my pack back in the safe area D'oh!

first game first tourney we maxed the opposition hung the flag and then walked right out of bounds to shake their hands 4 players eliminated themselves only the captain was left in lol

Full forward flip over a low bush in my first woodland tourney (too used to nice flat grass and airball)......... landed across a tree stump and only my battlepack/pots saved my spine
Hit so hard I could taste my own kidneys!!!!!!!!!

Back when we had barrel plugs and not barreldoms the game started adn I started to zone the far corner only to realise the barrel plug was still in, instant soup

Zoning my own front guy when he wrapped around a bunker.

They don't let me zone anymore

2001 in Brisbane I was using a borrowed cocker and I hadn't touched one before.
During the game it stopped firing and I couldn't get it to work.
Wouldn't that bad except out calls were.

Engaged - loading
Married - Small problem with marker but fixable
Divorced - Problem fixed
Pregnant - Your ****ed with unfixable problem

So...I'm screaming that I'm pregnant to let my team mates know my markers stuffed and the crowds pissing themselves laughing.

Found out later that the cocking rod had come loose and all I had to do was wind it in

my 1st tourney which was not that long ago my bottom line unscrewed its self so the gun would not fire i fort the bolt had got suck so i took the gun apart behind the bunker an got muged

played a game with potts from the tigers at dartford, first game of the day. Potts took the laying down X in the center and i took the bunker behind him, about 2m back from the X. A time into the game i heard a 'center' call from one of the backs, i immediately lent round and gunned potts several times in the back of the head . Funniest part was that he didn't realise it was me, I leant back round quickly and pretended to shoot a different direction . When he found out later he wasn't best pleased, but my team all congratulated me . haha.

I'm sure loads of people have done something like that though, if only it was juzzy in front of me instead

speaking of shooting your own team mates, this wasn't an accident but the guy who did it was a bit of a muppet at the time. So this is back in the day down at the temple and we, Bugout, had just cleared the field. Mr "Tommy Gun" Pemberton (yes the real one) ran and grabbed the flag. Now our captain (hermitt) wasn't the brightest of ballers and wanted to run the flag back himself, so he told Tommy to give him the flag and before Tommy could respond Hermitt shot him in the leg and nabbed the falg for the run back
