If i purchase a new EGO 06 in the UK what's the maximum rate of fire i'd get out of it using a Halo B. Am i correct in saying you'd have to use the ramp mode to get the most out of it unless you have a bionic finger?

How does this then compare to the Etek, which at a quick look in the Manual, appears to have the same fire modes yet the tech bloke a planet said it had a max rate of 15bps??

Please excuse my ignorance in these matters

regards,

Paul

So what we are saying is; unless I have the magic finger and can play the spoons like Rolf Harris, 15bps is realistically the quickest it'll shoot?
Why did I have the impression these things could throw paint quicker than a cowboy decorator or am I underestimating the easy of which the trigger can be tickled??

why does it matter how many balls a second it will fire?
uk tourneys are capped at 15 tops anyway (thank god, we get through enough paint even in non-ramping tourneys!:) )

metal instead of plastic, build quality, extremely easy maintence. Its like comparing a Aston Martin with a Fiesta. Both can do 70mph on the motorway, but I know I prefer using my Egos over any Ion I have used.

And John I'm sure won't mind me putting the other side of the story across by saying I'm toying with the idea of selling my ego because it kicks so badly compared to my ion. You can literally watch the barrel float skywards whilst shooting a string. The ion doesn't kick at all.

Whatever anyone tells you, the only meaningful difference between them is the feel.

The ego has a fun LCD screen and the eye logic is very cool in how in turns itself on and off in the case of blockages.

The ion, on the other hand, is paintball engineering taken to a beautiful level. The quality of components things is a load of bollocks, and I've still never had an ion fail on the field. Spectators of the Dye field at the recent NSPL event saw an ego feedneck shear off.

Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against egos, and they sure do throw paint, but then so do Ions; Don't believe everything you read...

A well set up ego will rip any other marker out of the water, they are awsome. No one in tourneys shoots faster than low 20bps, and even that is rare an fast as sh1t.

I would say I have about average fingers in terms of speed and on my ego i can rip a stream of 12bps all day long.

I have a mate that can shoot 25bps on his, but he uses 4 fingers, but then he has the fastest fingers i have ever seen.

bulldog if youre ego is kicking that much you aint set it up right dude...mine hardly kicks at all but i must admit i've felt ions with literally no kick at all.

But chris is right about the ego, they are jus awesome markers...very easy to setup and shoot fast, very, very easy maintainance and the user interface is the best i've ever used, pick up a cheap 05 for £300-£400 and you'll not be sorry!...and best of all no ups required (ion needs its value again thrown at it before it can be competitive IMO)
