OK, fellas, here's the party line...

Paintball is, at least as far as we're concerned, an extreme sport, and as with boarding, skating and such, there is a certain amount of baggage that goes with it. It's also a sport which attracts predominantly young males. Combine young men and extreme sports and you're gonna get some stuff which is edgy and offensive to some people. After all, we don't really want grandma to approve, do we?

That said, we really don't want 14-yr old Johnny, who's crazy about pball, to be on the forum and reading a post by someone with a suspect avatar when mom walks in - cos odds are she'll ban him from the site and it'll tarnish her image of the sport.

So it's down to you guys to exercise your judgement, both on pic choice and the stuff you write. If any suspect stuff comes up, mail the moderators...we have removed posts/avatars before and will do so again.

Basically, use your brains...those who don't will get moderated if we have a problem with 'em.

Heh heh heh, me, the moral conscience of the board. Scary.

Hi Giles

Please change your avatar to something with slightly less skin. It is borderline and I think there are pballers or pballers' parents who wouldn't touch this site of they thought we weren't doing our job in keeping it clean and appropriate for everyone. Just cos you're a reasonable and open-minded parent, don't mean that the rest of em are. The last thing we want to do is put people off visiting the site and joining in the conversations

Thanks to all the staff and cooperation of all the posters. We will shortly be stocking PGI regularly on site for sale as well as the on site copy that is there for the looking at and drooling over. Our players are not only kids but as a very safe mum friendly site we attract a lot of younger players. We have 12 year olds trying to form teams, playing regularly and soon they will start hitting this board. I would hate them to be banned due to a very small part of it's content.

TJ what do you think, should it stay or should it go, Ive always been of the opinion that I please myself first
with so many people on here I did like the comments that the people that are attracted to paintball really dont give a damn if there parents like it or not, there gonna do it anyway and the site is not here just for a like minded few but for all to enjoy how they want to, its a,bit like being free
But then I do agree that it cant go to far, pure porn is hardcore which I do not believe my avatar is so its staying for the time being

Being a very avid anti drugs campaigner would you mind changing yours, having lost someone very dear to me I also find your avatar to be exploitive and giving the wrong impression to younger people

I know or at least hope that you guys are being honestly faceicous about this now, because none of us do or should want people actually seriously saying these sort of things to one another on here. "Oh please dear, if you would so kindly please take the grain out of the cereal because although I love cereal I'm allergic to grain. Yes I know it'll just be a bowl of milk, but I can pretend I'm eating cereal." Dialogue like this actually does get to that, turning any other message board and potentially this one into a wish sandwich. A wish sandwich is, as you know, two slices of bread, and when you pick it up and take a bite out of it you wish you had some meat in it.

As much as it pains me too say this i don't think that porn pics no matter how small should be on a site where young children could access them. MAny parents do have the filters but on quite a few there are ways of getting round them.
(i have extensive knowledge in this )
On the other hand is it not the responsibility of the parent to educate their children in the way of the world?

So keep it clean lads so the young generation can stay innocent until we come along and educate them
