Yankafarians? WTF...Dude, I have no idea what you're talking about. It's obviously shroom season in Johnny's magic garden again.

CJohns - my humblest apologies for acussing you of having bad teeth and a stiff upper lip. Guess the name 'Chip' was a bit of a giveaway but my mind is on higher things at the moment - like winning Tha Cup.

Game on!

the main reason i said this article was crap was because it was! fact.
there was next to no content on the actual tournement.
there was a hell of a lot of ego pumping
and the team which did the best (in my opinion were made to sound like muppets). they are not a top flight team and just play to win.

i am talking about outrage.
no they did not win overall, but they did beat some realy good (if not some of the best uk)teams to get to the final.
i dont play for outrage, nor do i see them outside the tournement scene up north so i have no need to bull them up.
my team didnt do too well in the overall tournement, so giving us a mention wouldnt have achieved a whole lot for us.
people just like to read about where they have been.
i also stated that after you explaining why you had little content i was convinced.
but that still does not detract from the fact the article was far inferior on any other you have writen.

i am not after extending this debate further than here, so
peace out

You may not want this thread to continue but I'm afraid you ain't getting the last word on it.
I will ignore the glaring co-incidence already mentioned in my previous posting that enlightens most people to the agenda you have with your posts on this subject and concentrate on what you have just said.
As a tournament report i.e. giving team stats, comprehensive results and game descriptions, I agree, it was nowhere near what it should have been, but as you know, I do not write those sort of articles, they bore me ****less.
In fact I have never written a blow-by-blow account of any tournament I have been to.
I have already explained I was not originally going to write it up and the team you are saying I should have written more about, Outrage, I only saw them play once when they got beat by Shockwave.
You said I made them look like Muppets, show me where, I have read and re-read that article and nowhere do I suggest, infer or even hint they may be Muppets.
If you are telling the truth, then quote me from the article on this bulletin board for all to see.
For all the readers who are looking at this thread, here is the passage from my article that makes mention, the only mention of Outrage and you can judge for yourself if I make them look like Muppets.

‘Outrage who had dispatched with the services of the Rushers had played above themselves, they have no real track record of achievement in the big time and now they faced one of Europe’s if not one of the World’s best teams.
Outrage who are sponsored by Paintball Planet have been revitalised lately with a couple of new young players and some remotivation that seems to be working.
The game kicked off with first blood going unexpectedly to Outrage and this is where their inexperience told, as they never managed to make their advantage count.
Instead, Shockwave made a few minor adjustments and never relinquished their philosophy of attack and before long; a middle move by Giles Marshall had reaped the tactical reward of an Outrage elimination.
The game now was four on four, numerically equal but psychologically and tactically, Shockwave had full control.
The game angles widened as Shock players seized upon the lack of suppressive fire from Outrage.
As soon as the wide forward angles were acquired by Shockwave, it was basically a done deal.
The end came swift and merciless, Europe’s finest snuffed out the expectant fires of the underdogs’.

As most normal people will see, I did not make them look fools, far from it, so Mr Dam Dangerous, we have established, you talk ****.

Next time you wanna post something and be taken seriously Dam, try to stick to the facts and don’t make them up just so they align with your prejudices !

Muppets indeed!
Everybody knows that you only need to be a muppet to get past the Rushers! Shockwave on the other hand would require something of a larger calibre, not unlike a teletubby (Hello! Sarcasm! In case you hadn't noticed.....)
I tried, but I couldn't spot any muppets. And I know a muppet when I see one! Hell, there's always one staring at me in the mirror! (Woops! Was I thinking out loud again?)

i talk no ****, i say what i see.

to start off i must admit muppets was a strong phraseing.
i had not re-read the article since i was first dismayed by what i read, so what i was talking about was purely from memory, (i have not re-read it yet as a friend has not yet returned it)
after reading what you have re-isued i admit i was wrong with the strength of my wording.
but i still stick to the point i was initialy getting at, that you did not realy give them true credit for thier achievment.
i stood along with many of the other teams watching the final, and yes outrage didnt try to capitalise on thier numbers advantage but when the push to close the game came outrage put up an exelent fight for it and yes shockwaves experience showed.
but as giles marshal and another (sorry i didnt see the name) player tried to mug the center player he managed to come 180 degrees round his barracade and took out 1 of shock.
another was taken from the right tape.
not the overconvincing victory for europes top pro team as you try to make out.
i am not trying to take anything away from shockwave, they are a realy dominant force, just i think your review is a little biased.

by the way, a little courtesy
i always sign my name at the end of my messages, it wouldnt hurt to refer to me as that.

You call yourself , Ian 'Say it as you see it' and yet you have just written a post telling me and everybody else, you didn't say it as you saw it., how dumb is that ?
You said I inferred the team were Muppets, I just proved to you and everybody else I did not, nor anything close to that, so calling yourself 'saying as you see it', is a bit of a joke ain't it ?
And it wasn't just a case of 'strong phrasing' as you call it, you damn well made the accusation up !!!
My account wasn't biased at all, why on earth would I be biased toward one of my main rivals ?
In fact, it would have worked in my favour to make more of Outrage's accomplishments against Shockwave's.
In fact, the irony in all of this, is, I 'said as I saw it’ Live with it, it's called responsible journalism not romantic hogwash !
When you write sometihng sensible or factual Dam I might use your name of Ian but definitely not the added, 'Say it as you see it' !
