Sorry, it's news to me if I am. I don't think I am going to the Northern Cup as far as I know !!!!
First I have heard about it all, I enjoyed the last one though even though I got slagged off for the resulting article !!!

By the way. I wrote Ant at PGI and he was interested in doing an article on my team, but he never got back to me.
Any way you can look into that for me?

yes you did get slagged off, so to speak. the main reason was that the article was crap.
most of the teams playing were looking forward to getting tere names in print.
you then explained a few things and most were happy with that.
almost all your other reviews are spot on.
the post just went on and on, and is still getting the odd post.
diablo are putting in a guest team so im suprised they hadnt asked for the oldest star in paintball to join in.
by the way are you sure your daughters not adopted?
she must take after her mom.

Dam, it amazes me sometimes just how predictable some things in paintball are, and one of those is the connection between when someone says 'something is crap' and their dislike of the content of an article.
I will explain what I mean !!
I can't number the times I, Duffy and Ant (the PGI team) have heard criticisms about this or that article regarding tournament coverage, suffice to say, there have been a lot.
My article on the tournament you mentioned was one of over 200 I have done in the magazine and yet you say in your own words, the others were 'spot on'.
What an amazing coincidence it seems to me that the only one that was 'crap' as you put it, basically didn't mention you or your team.
It didn't live up to the expectations you harboured; you were hoping to see your name in lights or perhaps your team’s and it did not mention any of them as far as I know.
I explained the reason why the article was the way it was and I have to say in my defence, it was not crap, the only reason you said it was is because you did not like it and I'm afraid they ain't the same thing mate.
Your dislike doesn't automatically translate itself into crap !!
I apologised for the blinkered nature of the article and even the self indulgence but I ain't having you tell me it was crap !!!

Anyhow, I suspect that whatever I tell him here will get washed out in a fog of beer and jetlag...best plan is to mail him at the magazine a week or so after he gets back from here to give him time to get back into the swing on things.
