Hardly, it's punters that mean most of the guys here get walk ons as cheap as they do. So that's pretty rich.
I don't understand your statement:
First you say you don't wnat to pay punter prices for one day, you add a question as to whether you could get round the colour of the rotated paint, then you say it's the punters that keep the sites running, so that walkons get cheaper prices.
Sites have a lots of costs - and they are businesses. In addition unless there are extra sources of income they have full business costs for the use of land 7 days a week but are obtaining income for 2 days a week. Marshall costs etc are for the two working days, but there are extra staff costs such as running an office for bookings, plus site maintenance on 'off' days.
Bringing your own paint when its site paint only will at best get your paint confiscated, but also will make yourself look a dick to the punters.
Why not use the day playing with punters to promote the game to your friends, and budget yourself on paint.
Before we became 'supported' by a site we would budget our days paint accordingly - starting a scenario or walkon game with a case each, or choosing the optimium price on punter days and taking 1000 paintballs on arrival (500 each), then deciding later in the day how the paint was going. Usually ending up with a case between us for the day, but sometimes only firing up to 800 or even just the original 500.
We would shoot less either because we didn't need to spray paint or because we were busy doing other things than just hooting such as sneaking around or helping out the punters.
Now that I am supported by a site it comes with responsibilities - I can turn up for free at any time and get cheap paint. We then contribute to the day - helping out punters, encouraging people to come back, promoting other events etc. We also can be shooting a lot less or lot more.
Note: It may be possible that when you turn up your paint has both the same shell and the same fill colour as the days paint, however if any of the marshalls and shop staff have brains they will notice the own gunner that turns up, buys no paint and shoots streams.
Look at the price list and work out the optimum price, get everyone together, buy at that price and share out by the bag.
