is this now set in stone , that there will be no ramping at the Masters or is still to be looked at ?

i know what it says at the top so dont post quotes at me, what im thinking is , is the PA outcome going to make a difference ?

what i do like is the drop to 280 fps that the PA have done , i felt is was a God send at the indoor, and, if no one on a 7 man feild can tell the difference , then on a smaller 5 man it should make it all the safer.

The 280 will be adopted for legal reasons by everyone I believe... :)

Something to do with weight of paintballs and velocity blah blah blah...

I carnt belive 70% of the players voted against ramping markers,
I played in that promo game and to be honest it felt no different to any other game on that day!

I spoke to quite a few people after that game and eveyone said it looked awesome:D I carnt understand why it all went wrong:confused:

Personally i think all events should be 7-man, 5-man is a totally different game, You can afford to lose a few off the break in 7-man but in 5 man you might aswell kiss the game goodbye:eek:

Coaching is ok in my book but dont become dependant on it as it will wreck your game over time, you will loose your timing and wont be able to think for yourself!

280fps!

There is no legal reasons for the fps to be reduced to 280.
The PA reduced it because of the introduction of the ramping rule and the use of common sense.
It was first proposed by the NPPL and we fully agreed with all their points so adopted it as soon as we could.

Russ

EDIT; It was also used a few years ago at Bullys events but the players at the time moaned.
I think that may have been the amount of bunkers on field, at the PA you have 35 or more per field, at others you can end up with a lot less.

I stand corrected... I was told by a normally reliable source that paint has actually became heavier over several years, meaning that at 300fps it is too close to the 14lbs/sq.ft (weight-x-speed=impact) set out for paintball markers...

And what outcome is that then?
theres always one , only i thought it was gona come from Le Pig

Russ , was it a trail or will it be ramping from now on in PA ?

i was all for ramping before i had a go of an Ego that had been set up for it, and then i voted against. to my suprise most of the people that i spoke to that had guns that could ramp said they were voting against aswell.

280fps, smaller feilds , better paint, dont need extra dints.

You are correct in saying there are boards that can up the fps (you do not need a ramp mode (bps) to be active for it to work.
We hope the punishment will be the deterent for all players who may be offered that type of board.
I would be very shocked if anyone caught using that type of board did not recieve at least a one year nationwide ban.

And a good kicking from the team he shot.
We have some new handheld chronographs on there way from the states and you will see them in use on every field soon.
