ok thanks all, its a little clearer now. not sure im a big fan of using a naked flame though, ive got about 4 tanks i want to get the regs off, will get a strap wrench and see how it goes, in not sure if any of them are locktighted on but the does seem to be a red residue around the neck of my AA reg.

p.s. 3 presets and an adjustable

p.p.s are all the threads bottles/regs universal?

If you find that the reg is quite stifff and wont come off wat i did was lightly i mean LIGHTLY tap the fill valve with a hammer. then u can unscrew it. Sum ppl are probly gna say dont use a hammer but it workd for me and the reg was fine. infact it was the reg i sold you. :D

Air bottles are NOT meant to be locktited onto the reg, especially presets.

People have died because of that...


Tell PMI too, they send out ALL their complete pre-set systems, loctited.

And no, I don't believe anyone's died from it (could be wrong though)
