Yup remember my 1st time like it was yesterday. The Air Force base I was at held a Squadron Tourney. My squadron put a team together and I just happen'd to be there when a friend of a friend was asking for players. Sad thing was we all had Cammo and Military garb on. Well I said sure cause it was free, NOT EVER PLAYED B4 or KNOWING WHAT TO DO I WAS SCARED kinda. Things got really freaky when I started seeing these other doods tooting what I can remember looked like double barrel'd cockers. Mind you this was 11 years ago.
Make a long story short... I didn't know what to expect and when the gear rental is free expect $hit. 1st Game I got a mask that the lense was so scratched I could not see 12"s in front of me. Needless to say my 1st game ended about 10 secs after the whistle. Shot in the back by a Team Mate cause he was a dumbass. Didn't play much after that tourney which we won. Due to cost and lack of FUNDS for a low ranking person that I was... FFWD to May 2000 My bro takes me out to SC Village and I was hook'd again. Loaned everything I need to play including a Blue 2K LCD C&C by someone who didn't even know me. I was like if Ballers are kewl like this then this is the sport for me. Even here I feel or felt the same. That's why I would give my Angel to anyone who asked. That's the only way to make our or your sport grow!
