Planet Piper away from you freaks!
Is it me missing something or is the div. 2 entry fee almost as much as the SPL one for last season ?

Working it out in our local Danish currency the div. 2 entry will be 10.080 DKK - last years entry for SPL was about 10.500 DKK per event and for div. 1 about 9.350 DKK ?

What happened - maybe I just missed it, but has this increase in entry fees been announced ?
Fees have not gone up from last year so I guess you just missed it :D

Fees have gone up considerably for many not in the Euro zone, depending on the current exchange rate!

A Euro was worth about 0.75 Pounds last January whilst now its closer to 1:1

I.E. for UK players/teams its about a 33% increase

As for the Danish Krone I think the exchange rate is similar to what it was a year ago and has remained pretty stable against the Euro over the year.

Exactly - which is why it puzzles me ?

Yeah Andy I might have missed it hehe - just don´t get how it´s all of a sudden more expensive playing div. 2 than div. 1 (compared to last year) and almost as expensive as SPL last year ?

Yeah call me blonde.... Or someone correct me and tell me what I misunderstood ? Of course I obviously hope I´m wrong !!! ;)

The exchange rates have changed, the Millennium have not put the fees up. I really do not think we can hold the Millennium responsible for exchange rates.

To play div 2 is 1351.25 euro and div 3 is 587.50 euro, which is the same as last year. So only increase is due to the exchange rate.

Or do you all want to string the board up for the exchange rates now?

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest that the Millennium Board were evil and had manipulated the exchange rate in their favour!

Considering what L. Hamet said during the last Millennium event in Paris, we can say that we have been fooled, again ...

Is the Millenium series adminstration office not in the UK ?

I always thought it was, and if this is, i would have thought charging teams entry fee in sterling would have been the norm ?

It is, but the vast majority of teams (as are the events) are in the Euro zone, so, I for one, can see the logic in having their price structure in Euros, most of their bills will be paid in Euros too, therefore less currency transactions!
