so will the prize money remain the same if you don't get a certain level of attendance.
Or will the event be canceled?

C'mon teams stop scratching your nuts and enter. This is a prime oppurtunity for teams to play against better opposition before campaign. You all know you're going to be facing some whoop ass teams in 2 months time so why not use this golden oppurtunity to have a practice run first and get a bit of confidence up. If we were n't marshalling we'd definetely field a team and with fewer teams entering everyone's in for a shout at some prize money. Turnaround times between games should be quicker and 5 man really suits Dartford size fields. It would be really good for us to have a second regular tourney a month down south and stick two fingers up at the p.a. at the same time.(my butt has more credibility as a national tourney than the p.a at the moment). I know i'm blathering on a bit but it would be a shame if this fell on its face at the first hurdle.

Favorites to date seem to be the jelly babies and the fizzy cola bottles, but I'll listen to any ideas people have (though can't promise exactly what you'll end up with). Other well received ones to date have been flying saucers & generic smarties.

Post your ideas here, maybe we can get a discussion going?:D
Surely, if they are generic then thay cannot be smarties, more like coloured candy covered chocolate drops.

This then begs the question of where are these sweeties at the P.A. League events

Is a little harsh dear boy, for a league that is doing plenty for paintball and not claiming anything other than to be a national league. If teams choose not to participate then it is not the leagues fault.

To draw a parody, would you not class the football league to be national (Excepting Scotland who excluded themselves in 1890 by forming their own league). When it started in 1887/8 it had the following teams

Acrington
Aston Villa
Blackburn Rovers
Bolton Wanderers
Burnley
Derby City
Everton
Notts County
Preston
Stoke City
West Brom Albion
Wolverhampton Wanderers

You may notice these are midlands and Northern teams, this is because the southern teams had their own regional tournament and they did not join until 1920.

This seems to parallel what is going on at the moment to a degree but this is only the first year. Oh and please forgive the football analogy, did not know this stuff, had to look into it.

The point is, no one will dispute that it is a national league and teams can always pull out (If they could afford to) but it will still be a national league. The same stands for the P.A. League IMO

It's easier to say generic smarties than coloured candy covered chocolate drops - anyway, you knew what I meant.

There has been a tub of sweeties on my admin table at every PA leg so far. They don't always come out first thing in the day for morning registration but they are always there by the time play starts and usually last until well after the lunch break. Probably jelly beans this month :)
