Bear in mind the first three shots in semi only will re-start after one second without registering a trigger pull.
The way you were doing it on the video did not allow the ramping to cease.
Try pulling twice quickly then not pulling for two seconds and pulling again ?

You certain they reset after a second? Mine doesn't seem to do that on the stock board. It only seems to allow the three semi shots as soon as its turned on but not after

Edit: mine does reset after a second. It goes back three semi shots before ramping.

@Marc0 I can see your point there. I'm struggling to get it to ramp up on the 2nd shot if I give it a second or two after the last trigger pull. But what does that mean? I can't set the reset any lower than 1 second, so in the future, am I just supposed to tell the refs that they have to wait longer? Is it in the rulebook stating the length the reset delay must be no longer than?

The rule book is kind of ambiguous on how long the delay between ramp and reset is, except it says you must maintain your 5bps a second to continue ramping. So in my mind at the end of any second where you do not sustain 5 trigger pulls in a second you should be set back to the 3 true semi shots, thus no longer than a 1 second reset,

the more I think about what Marco said and after reading the rulebook again, I kind of feel like he's right. But if I can't get the reset to happen any quicker than 1second, does that mean I just have to sit and argue with the refs every time I want to use my Axe? To convince them that there's no steadfast rule about how quick the ramping should reset? Cos that doesn't sound like a great deal of fun and I don't particularly enjoy having to argue with refs :(

If this is happening to the stock and redline boards on axe's and mini's is it safe to say the Vanquish may be effect by this to which in that case i will be canceling my preorder.

I have been reading this with quite an eagle eye and will now add my two penneth.

Being in an Empire Team, we all use the Axe, some with the standard boards and some have been upgraded to the Redlines. We do not play the CPPS and so have never had these issues.

XSV and Infamous both being Empire Teams have all used the Axe in the past all over the world at various events, I know that Infamous have now upgraded to the Vanquish and again use these at various events. I do not know any issues that these have previously had with these guns.

Are the rules for ramping not the same with the different events ??? or has the CPPS rule book changed from other rule books ???

I personally Love the Empire Axe and am awaiting to Purchase a Empire Vanquish - I cannot see a problem !

@phil-boy I understand your point and please don't think I'm trying to down on empire but in all honesty, if you were in my position, what would you do? Simply saying they are great markers isn't going to suddenly make them work perfectly. We are a relatively young team and cpps is our main goal. How are we supposed to finish the series if we don't have guns that can fire in the necessary mode?

Did you all set your markers up individually or did one person figure it out then tell everyone else?

These markers have been about for a while now, in use at every major series and minor series without this issue cropping up.

I know my Mini was perfectly fine when I had it a few years ago and the rules to my knowledge haven't changed. I'll bet this turns out to be a very simple fix. Without insulting anyone, with the best will in the world, most issues with paintball guns are down to user error.

Except if you have a Vanguard. They're just pish.

We each set our own markers up mate 5 if which are redline, 1 has an optimus board and mine has the shockwave and all 7 when set to mills still ramps on the second shot even with the ramp start set to 3 or higher
