My god have I been under a rock !

I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of such a decent guy.

As stated Martin never harked on about his condition so I was never even aware of it.

Will be sadly missed both on field and off by all those that knew him.

The deepest of sypathies from all Martins buddies on Portsmouth Halloween.

Will think of him each time we play the remaining guys from Samurai and cherish those ( few ) times he ever shot me.

:(

ps ; the team will be sending a donation to the charity asap.

Thanks to everyone who has sent their sympathies and respects!

It is much appreciated by everyone who knew Martin, including his family and friends.

Please be aware that 'Samurai' players will be running a collection for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in memory of Martin at the NSPL Round 3 in Reading this Sunday 22nd April.

Please donate generously either on the day, or online at: http://www.justgiving.com/martinvipas

Remember if you donate online and are a UK taxpayer the charity can claim approximately an extra 28% percent on top of your donation in tax!!!

after speaking with rob I've set up an auction where all monies raised will be going to Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

This is a cause close to my heart as my cousin suffers from Cf and am happy to do anything that relives suffering involved with this dreadful disease.

I've just received an email from Martin's mother, which she has asked me to share with all those who have expressed their condolences.

Just to update everyone, we have now raised almost £600 in total.

I'd like to thank everyone who's donated so far, and thanks to Slim for his charity auction. All very much appreciated - the donations page is still open at http://www.justgiving.com/martinvipas

Dear All

I am Martin’s mum. I have just found your web site. Thank you all for your wonderful remarks about our son. It was upsetting but so good to read that you all thought so much about our son.

Thank you also for collecting for CF

He really loved his paint balling he told me so much about it when he was so ill in hospital he really regretted that he would not be around to play another game.

I have no idea if this will reach anyone but if it does please forward it to all who posted remarks about Martin. ( I would at this point have phoned Martin on how to do this correctly!!) We miss him so much.
