Sad, but true.
The guy was my first American football coach. I even been to their wedding...
I know both of them pretty well. Like I said, he used to be my coach and she was heavily involved with the team as well.

He took his wife (and mother of his two children) out to dinner for their 10th wedding anniversary (that was a little over two years ago now).
On their way home, he "fell asleep behind the wheel and the car swerved off the road and ended up in a canal. Unfortunately she did not manage to get out and consequently drowned". Anyway, that was his version.

The cops thought it was a bit weird that when they showed up at the scene, he was very calm. Later on the autopsy showed that she was heavily sedated with sleeping pills and had been held under water forcefully.
Investigations also showed that he had been having an affair with her best friend for a number of years...

How f*cked up is that?

I feel for the kids. Mommy is dead, pops is doing an 18 year bid AND he is the guy that killed moms... Even crazier when you know that they had always wanted kids, but there had always been a problem with getting pregnant (don't know if he was firing blanks, or the problem was with her though). Then they finally do manage to have kids, just a few short years later, this sh*t happens.

Sadly, this is not the only story close to home like this I could tell you...

Anyway, back on topic: Anyone paying that kind of money for a sandana should be beaten with a railroad girder.
