It's not, certain tournaments do not let you use it, thus it being illegal if your caught, however leagues like the p.a let you use ramping.

Full auto in the UK is technically illegal but it's a big grey area with paintball markers. Due to needing to press the trigger a certain amount of times before it ramping it isn't classed as full auto afaik.

My understanding (?) is that ramping and say.. Millenium mode are different.

Ramping on some markers is preset and falls foul of the millenium rules for ramping, and thus cannot be used in tourney play.

However on walk-ons, at most sites, ramping is allowed.

Full-auto however is not allowed ever. Will only be used in UK paintball if your a cheating scumbag.

I'd imagine its prohibited by insurance. Also think if the trigger gets pulled accidently once , then it will only fire 1 ball ( possibly at someone ) . If the marker if on full auto , and the trigger gets caught on something , then theres a chance it'll let a rope off , which is considerably more dangerous.

I can't ( and wont ) use the full auto on my timmy , even though it doesn't kick in with the first trigger press , mainly because its a bit weaksauce.

to me it sounds like it wont kick in on the first shot due to being in nxl mode, which if im right is after the third shot you hold the trigger and it will go onto full auto.

Yep I think thats the mode and I can see why they would want it to not go full auto on first trigger pull in a way.

Also on markers like an ion , ramping as actually faster than full auto , which is capped at 10 bps. ( on a standard (US) board )
