Millenium has two choices: Whether ramping will be legal, or illegal and there anyway. No matter how much they WANT to enforce semi-auto, they lack the means to do so.

The more and more I think about this, the more I think I'm going to have to advocate buying a good cheater board and cheating. I don't think it's fair to follow the rules when there's no reasonable expectation that your opponents are going to do the same or that the league will do anything about it.

Quoted, just so you all can read the truth one more time...

Nope!

What I said was, that what was verbally said at the captains meeting in Amsterdam (the text of which is still nowhere to be seen....), in no way made ramping difficult to do - while staying within the parametres that are being enforced, and as such not getting caught..... Timmis and Raceguns for instance do not shoot after last trigger release... and they ramp without any problems!

It's all about how you programme the board (logically ;)).

Ramping has always been illegal - and still is.... the MS is just not checking for it - but they just made it slightly more difficult for the programmers, by saying no shots after last triggerrelease ;)

I call BS. That would imply that you have to be holding the trigger down for each shot, which either means you have full auto or your ramp will suck compared to real ramp.

So full auto after three shots capped at 15bps will be ok.
As per NXL.

with ramping boards it is impossible that the gun will not shoot after the last trigger release, UNLESS you are pulling the trigger at a constant 15 bps. very unlikely.

ramping will still fire several shots after the last trigger pull.

that's the basic principal behind ramping.

Laurent's statement regarding the last trigger pull simply means that you may not have any ramping.

This can be interperated in only one way.

No Ramping.

Then FFS, why doesn't he just say that? At the DMA Captain's meeting I don't think he ever used the word ramping. People tried to pin him down but all he would say is "no shots after the last trigger release" and "no PSP mode."

Beceause Ramping was never technically allowed or disallowed.

Seems that everybody is playing the grey and being oh so carefull about what they say. Frustrating ain't it?!?!
