Do you know something,
I will try and make this short and sweet for those that understand i go on to much well....
The reffing was pants, they couldnt work out what was trigger bounce, modes, or when ramping came in.
The calling from the sidelines sorry coaching is good for spectators if there was any..... get the picture
And totally unfair for a team who has not got a coach, I am sure you lot know what I mean.
I stayed all afternoon and played a game of chess with div 3-4 teams i knew to help. so funny front player to bunker 50 CHECK.... Get him outa there marshal.
Dont get me wrong, brave move by Hatts and his ideas have meaning but its all done wrong as I have said before.
Four players had paint up into thier goggles. I will say no more.
Yes there was players with other rates of fire above 15bps, yes there was ramping velocity which was very scary indeed.
Yes if you had a standard board you could fire faster and still pass the black box of no meaning.
Hows it go come on you can fire faster than that cant you, have another go, dam man fire faster.
"I cant ref, that's as fast as I can fire honest"
Its great yes, Ive never been totally against ramping although what some players think and read wrong into what ive put in writing. But unless properly organised its still an open time bomb waiting to happen.
What worries me and what I saw is this, the players that are younger, lads like Lee and wayne etc fom kellys because I know them from being younger and spent time with there whole family playing.
And then others before they start have aquired the fast fingers skills and understand fast firing control.
But new players will not and will take on ramping as the norm and wont be able to control that extra burst of balls when the trigger is released by the finger.
Hense the danger, I thought using both modes that it was so funny that you could be standing up and if you was quick enough you could spread a whole field and keep them in yourself.
Then when making a move and running down the field players curling into balls because they thought it was going to hurt.
Well it does guys it really hurts, the old saying " does paintball hurt", well it does when you get shot even below 280FPS it hurts but take it, wipe the blood off and play another game.
My back was bleeding from mugging a guy off the centre but it was my own fault and knew what was coming.
Yes its fun to pull the trigger 3 times then on the fourth your doing 15bps then every trigger pull will be 15bps, but believe me I was bored.
lets do away with the trigger and use a button that we can press instead, yer no trigger or even a beam of light to break so it activates a switch to fire. Then all I have to do is press the button to fire that would be great.
Oh and I hear there are some whispers around at the moment, is there or is there not a tournament being held at Rodbaston college soon on those supposedly non playable fields? Watch this space may be just gossip maybe it isnt.
