Baca your grasp of humour is unamerican, where were you in a past life...

From what I saw, players could shoot at any velocity they wanted. All they had to do is take on allen keys, or confuse the chrono ref by waiting till he was busy and simply walking by shooting 320's, seriously...you fools thought nobody saw!

Ramping, I didn't see anyone checked all day and people were certainly shooting faster, I was aware of the software modes they were using.

Also, many refs had never reffed a tournament before, only punters, and in the their words "didn't care much for tourney ball"..

How the PA can expect these people to manage against deliberate gun cheats?, I dunno...

Purely from a spectators point of view (this time), I thought it sucked balls. For divs 1 & 2, this may be OK, but in divs 3 & 4, it was obvious that a LOT of people were getting overshot & hurt. Has Andy Hatton experienced 15bps in the clackers yet? He fukkin well should, see how he likes it !! 2 of our lads had to find out first hand. Believe it or not, Fat Bob's York madde a moral decision not to use any ramping & what happened ?, one of the lads got penalty pointed for trigger bounce. Irony sucks ass. Sort out the marshalls & dump this stupid & dangerous rule.

Rant over.

ps, this is my view only, not nescecerally that of the rest of the lads.

So the opinion seems "mixed" to say the least.

Interesting to see team numbers and reaction once this new league is up and running.

Has any team / player that DID play the "ramping leg" decided to call it quits for the season now?

What about the PA's new uber robot they were talking about?
The little "uber robot" is a crock of S**T it does not do what they say it does which is why no one was pulled. I know a few teams that where firing more than 15bps a lot more, i also know that people got hurt.

I took around 9 shots in the side of the neck as a player bunkered me and could hardly breathe for about 10 minutes. Thanks to the player though who actualy came admited he only tried to fire 2 - 3 balls.

yo eddy dude
its about safety
I know that you can dish it out and take it but some people just want to have a fun day out and not worry about having their head blown off.
The Div 1 players tend to have a philosophy of give and take but you have to think about safety!
now to start an argument

1?
Are the lower teams 'skillful enough' to be using these high rates of fire?
The top teams will tend to have players that basically have better aims and marker control than say a standard player in div 4
Maybe the PA should have introduced this first to the "pro"
:) league first and seen how it went.

2? If the PA has made the wrong decision will it change it stance. Personally i think the pa arn't taken due care in protecting its 'customers'.

I might be talking bollocks though so flame away amigo's

Quite an interesting and mixed day; thought the coaching being allowed was excellent, I was coaching in the morning and loved it, its great for the teams playing provided you have appointed coaches and don't just listen to anyone when you are on the field-obviously!
However, me playing in the afternoon was a totally different story. The ramping mode I didn't have a problem with too much because if you're playing the event with 15bps then you've got to expect to be 'lit up' if you're shot out. My issues are with the marshals I was that pi*sed off with them in the last game that I went a bit over the top and got banned but that's my own fault. They weren't focused on any games, I felt and appeared to be so paint shy-what do they expect?! No one was checked after games, their modes were'nt checked. People were able to walk on the field with markers set at around 320 fps which is a joke! Run throughs were done and as far as the marshalls were conserned, 'whoever has paint on them are eliminated', if they had been watching they may have had an idea who was shot first etc. 'Game over' was not shouted loud enough twice on one field involving teams in both div 1 and 4 and this led to live players wondering what the f*ck was going on and stil shooting out live players. The level of marshalling has seriously got to improve by the next round...maybe they should take a month out and marshall the uk masters, I'm sure they would learn twice the amount as what they know about reffing at the moment!
These are just my personal views.

Do you know something,

I will try and make this short and sweet for those that understand i go on to much well....

The reffing was pants, they couldnt work out what was trigger bounce, modes, or when ramping came in.

The calling from the sidelines sorry coaching is good for spectators if there was any..... get the picture

And totally unfair for a team who has not got a coach, I am sure you lot know what I mean.

I stayed all afternoon and played a game of chess with div 3-4 teams i knew to help. so funny front player to bunker 50 CHECK.... Get him outa there marshal.

Dont get me wrong, brave move by Hatts and his ideas have meaning but its all done wrong as I have said before.

Four players had paint up into thier goggles. I will say no more.

Yes there was players with other rates of fire above 15bps, yes there was ramping velocity which was very scary indeed.

Yes if you had a standard board you could fire faster and still pass the black box of no meaning.

Hows it go come on you can fire faster than that cant you, have another go, dam man fire faster.

"I cant ref, that's as fast as I can fire honest"

Its great yes, Ive never been totally against ramping although what some players think and read wrong into what ive put in writing. But unless properly organised its still an open time bomb waiting to happen.

What worries me and what I saw is this, the players that are younger, lads like Lee and wayne etc fom kellys because I know them from being younger and spent time with there whole family playing.
And then others before they start have aquired the fast fingers skills and understand fast firing control.
But new players will not and will take on ramping as the norm and wont be able to control that extra burst of balls when the trigger is released by the finger.

Hense the danger, I thought using both modes that it was so funny that you could be standing up and if you was quick enough you could spread a whole field and keep them in yourself.

Then when making a move and running down the field players curling into balls because they thought it was going to hurt.

Well it does guys it really hurts, the old saying " does paintball hurt", well it does when you get shot even below 280FPS it hurts but take it, wipe the blood off and play another game.

My back was bleeding from mugging a guy off the centre but it was my own fault and knew what was coming.

Yes its fun to pull the trigger 3 times then on the fourth your doing 15bps then every trigger pull will be 15bps, but believe me I was bored.

lets do away with the trigger and use a button that we can press instead, yer no trigger or even a beam of light to break so it activates a switch to fire. Then all I have to do is press the button to fire that would be great.

Oh and I hear there are some whispers around at the moment, is there or is there not a tournament being held at Rodbaston college soon on those supposedly non playable fields? Watch this space may be just gossip maybe it isnt.
