DIABLO...Lexan Goggle lenses, can withstand a 12 bore shotgun blast.

Realisticy, no one is going to take 15 bps in the face, regularily...apart from the fact that you would shy away from it..also, once teh balls are in the air, even over a relatively short distance...they are slowing down...so...in that one given second...probably only 10 balls would hit....

You are right, tho, that repeated strikes in that area, would probably lower the life span of teh goggles...most goggles become unsafe, through misuse/lack of care...and age...

How are those gauges?:D

So you never see guns without condoms being dry fired in the pits?..........how long before someone leaves a ball in the breech?
.................how long before the repeated impact of someones goggles being struck at 15bps at close quaters causes the goggles to fail?.........i suggest you read your goggles instruction manual or better still contact JT, dye, etc etc and see if their public liability insurance and build quality etc, is adequate to cover a 1 second burst of a ramping marker from 20feet away straight at someones lenses? one day my friend, one day !

Ok so leave the fps alone as we know that shouldn't change, but your saying that 15bps isn't more dangerous than an average game speed of 8bps?
So 15 balls in the throat or head will hurt you the same as 8, that is what you are suggesting, isn't it?
Think again dude;)

What scares me in paintball is the way we setup our triggers, to give us as much bounce as possible to get that rate of fire advantage. (which is the only way anyone can attain 15bps plus)

This is the real danger because the gun can accidentally go off in the safe zone and release multiple balls. Ive seen it done, one accidental tap on a super light trigger and the 'semi' gun does 3 or 4 balls.

A ramping gun would not do that, because the trigger does not need to be set so light nor does ths software need to be set up to induce tonnes of bounce.

That is the real difference in safety between ramping and 'semi' guns.

I seem to remember someone saying recently, don't shoot me in the goggles i seem to have a crack in the lens:D
So would yours still stop a 12 bore then Gaz?

Ps, gauges fitted and all cool, another order coming your way this afternoon.;)

maybe it is wrong to call the fast firing of paint via single pulls a skill but it is an aspect of muscluar control that some people can do. it is something that some people can or can not do, just like a dive or slide - some people can not do them well.

using ramping gives those extra shots in relation to trigger pulls and therefore a person without the fast finger biology can compete with someone who can. this unfairly levels the field of play as the naturally fast players do not get an advantage due to the cap.

i understand that firing fast in the game is a very important thing that is why i own a eblade as i want to get the best out of my firing ability. but i fail to see how ramping is good as it is technically a automatic.

it may be a simplistic view but IMO it is true

Probably yes...crack caused due to age (the lenses, not mine) and I think they got squished in me bag, doesnt help....besides..I laugh in the face of 12 Bore shotguns, having been shot with one in the past, I know what its all about...:D
