You could try - but Half-blocks are quite complicated bits of kit

Besides if you support your local shops/industries, then you'll have a place to go if you break your gat - if not you'll be sending it away to the US to get it fixed, or facing a hefty bill over here

Plus Customs don't take to kindly to having their share taken away from them, and if (a big if, but worth considering) they find out, then they can get very shirty with you

Remember - only the IR could take down Capone!

if it is a warranty replacement/return there is no Import / vat

Plus Customs do check for Warrenty returns (there is actually a form you have to file with the post office now before sending out )
