I took over a thousand photos that day, it was techincally an air and sea show with a full beach assauly by armoured hovercraft and amphibious landing craft, with air support from fighters and attack helicopters.

ironically enought the stealth bomber was there as well, and all the photos I took of it make it look like a cardboard cutout painted black!!! If i get time later on I will have another look and see what other good ones there were.

Are you sure???

The RAH-66 Comanche program was cancelled in 2004. The funds earmarked for the purchase of 121 Comanches was to be diverted to the purchase of 790 Blackhawks instead. They pobably figured out if the only thing you going to shooting at is Toyota Hi-Lux Technicals, at a $120 million dollar each the stealth attack helicopter was a little too bling.

And I somehow doubt the UK government is going to start ordering em. With defence spending the way it is, we can expect to see the Sopwith Camel making a return as the latest air superiority fighter.
Absolutely 100% dude yeah. It was really low flying so I got a great look at it, I immediately checked out some pictures and videos to confirm my initial thoughts and it was unmistakable, even down to the slightly higher pitched sound it makes.

I'm certainly no expert but being as I didn’t think we even owned the RAH-66 in our hardware that’s what confused me. I guess on reflection it could have been flying over to Spadeadam in prep for the Summers air-shows or possibly as CJ says heading over to the landing fields at our very busy airport. Either way that Toyota Hi Lux comment made me laugh out loud. By all accounts though blowing a Hi-Lux technical packing a mounted machine gun is still no easy feat, ask Jeremy Clarkson :D ;)
