Actually, we do study common sense at uni, but not untill the final semester of the course ;) :p

the actual millennium series rules state:

5.35. Loaders must be of a solid color. Stickers on loaders or feed devices of markers are not allowed, except for one 5 x 10 cm red, black and white sticker (one on each side of the loader or feed device).
Which in true millennium series rules contradicts itself (no stickers, except one, but you can have one on each side  ).

Bt the important part is the solid colour bit - my interpretation of that is no patterned hoppers (ie cammo ones). Now, I suppose A solid colour could mean one solid colour, but as I can't be bothered to dismantle and reassemble two hoppers again, I'll stick to my half and halfs :D

I'll bow to your greater knowledge Mark, as you've played a few of these events this year.
However, as someone who has to be careful of how words are used as part of my living, "a" colour means one to me, e.g. "A person" means one person, "a car" means one car, especially when they specify how many when it comes to stickers etc.

Well

I think the inference is largely on solid rather than colour - if you get my drift?

But it is all down to what is reasonable - i think 1/2 and 1/2 is reasonable - any more is impossible!!

See you at Campaign then

Mark

just by reading the rule posted by flash, it seems to me that the millenium series organisers are dealing with hopper half by half! as in allowed one sticker and then it states (one on each side)

just the way they state only one, and then specify that is for each side! so surely the whole colour thing will be specified in the same way?

Another quick question.......

Rather than start a new thread also entitled "quick question about millenium rules", can anyone tell me if there is any ruling regarding trigger guards? Some of my team mates have told me that I need one for Campaign, but I've checked the millenium rules and couldn't see anything. Any help would be much appreciated :) :) :) :p

I think that having two differing coloured halves to you loader is ok as long as they are 'solid'. But it is down to interpretation and it could be argued that two different halves contravene the rule.

There are plenty about and being used in mellenniums and we certainly dont object to them even though none of our team does this.

When we marshalled in toulouse split colour hoppers was one of the points that we should have enforced, but we were a bit lax on such a matter as no one ever complained and as far as i know have never complained about this fashion accessory , and we got told off for it, so in my opinion play it safe and stick to solid guys.
And don't forget to cover all your legs up, no cut down pants (got told off for that too!)
Any way wot do they expect after 14 hour day marshalling and not even a cheers guys.....rant....rant......rave...moan.....hissss:(
