PW 300 Bar Fill Station

Not the bottle, the fitting you put on it..the 300 bar ones have a push button on them (the ones i have seen have any way)

By the way We are all paying for Scuba tanks when all we need is an air reciever...Try these guys they are fully reconditioned with 5 yr tests on them (think they are scuba tanks with "dry valves" so dont have the same test routine as scuba)

EG 8L 300 bar £95..so for the price of a 12 300 bar you could buy two of these and have 16 L worth!

Put that Avatar back up again or post the pic...so we can see...dunno, must just be different manufacturers..prefer the push button as you lose less air from your tank (with the thumbscrews you have to unscrew real quick otherwise thye bottle valve doesny seal off quick enough and you lose some preassure)

Well to be honest I thought I would get one as shown in the picture on the PW website here http://southwestpaintball.co.uk/pw/images/small/Air Fill Station.gif

Which looks like the normal one I have used before with the button to push not the thumbscrew, but I would have been happy with one that works.

But I did not try to repair it my self, as I think that any fitting rated for 300Bar should be tested before they are shipped from the manufacturers.

My main worry is that I filled my marker's bottle from the dive tank very slowly and it leaked, if I had opened the valve all the way and flash filled the tank (not that I would), it may have catashrophically failled and injured me, bits flying round the room and such.

Alex, could you check, when you screw the fill rig into the dive bottle does it feel as thought it clamps against a rubber face or a metal face.

To be honest I am not sure, but if I had to pick I would say metal.

The two times I used it I did not notice any leaking from the dive bottle connector, but then if the pressure had risen much above 3,000psi it may have started to leak.

I've sent it back now so hopefully I will get another working one next week. Hopefully one that actually has 300Bar stamped on it this time.

Sending it back, is the way to go, as it should have 300 bar on it. My bottle valve has 300 bar on it, but my fill rig is a different style to yours.
The reason i asked about the sealing, is, the screw you put into the dive bottle is longer on a 300 bar rig than a 232 bar setup, this stops the 232 sealing in a 300 bar bottle.
