PW 300 Bar Fill Station

Has anyone else ordered a 300 Bar Fill Station from Paintball Warehouse?

I just tried to use the one they sent me and it pisses out air at high pressures.

The unit comes with a 300 Bar gauge, but the main metal body of the unit has 232 Bar stamped on it, so I guess they are selling dodgy kit, which I think is a bit off as it is a high pressure fitting and could be dangerous if the unit catastrophically failed.

k basically, da red fill rig thats rectangular is a 232 bar a clamp fit, while the silver more rounded fill rig is da 300 bar din fit. If u have the red one check your recipt which u should have printed of from der site and check that u didnt order da 232 bar one. If you did im sure they will be happy to change it for u, i know the guy who runs the store and hes a top bloke.

Well it is definitely suppost to be the silver Din Fit 300 Bar version and the gauge goes up to 315 Bar, but the main box bit has 232 Bar stamped on it, which I thought was a bit dodgy.

Paintball Warehouse sent me an email back this evening and I will send it back to them. I guess if you have one and it is OK, I just have a dodgy one. But I still don't like the fact that the fitting has 232 Bar stamped on it, but I guess I would have to blame the manufacturers not PW.

Does yours have MAXWP232BAR stamped on the back and MDE Leicester on the front?

Alex, two questions, look at my avatar (picture under my name) is the one you have the top one.
Second question, if it is the top one how many threads are there on the end that goes into the bottle. There should be about 13, for a 300 bar din fill rig, if there's less than 10 it's a 232 bar fill rig, and this wont seal into a 300 bar bottle, as it's too short to seal.

Well it is different from both the ones in your picture, I have taken a picture and posted it here http://alex.farkouh.net/fs.jpg but looks more like the silver one.

The bottle thread has only about six turns, but did seem to seal ok on my 300Bar bottle (I did not notice any leaking out of that port, the air escaped via the hole the gauge is connected to).

The unit works OK up to about 3,000psi then starts leaking. Personally I think it is a 3,000psi unit that has had the gauge changed for a 300bar.

I have a 300 bar fill rig, bought from LPS. The body has 232 bar on it, but has the longer 300 bar screw in fitting. This is apparently what makes the difference.

If you want a real giggle, look at the back of the fitting on a 300 bar dive bottle. You'll notice that is probably only 250 bar rated.

I assume they are somewhat over engineered:eek: !

But before you send you fill station back, have you tried to tighten it up? Mine leaked like mad when I first had it, so I tightened the fittings against the soft brass seeling rings and it now works fine.

Thanks for the pic, it definitely looks like a 232 bar fill station. I would send it back and get it replaced for a 300 bar unit. When you screw in the fill rig does it feel as though it's screwing up against a rubber seal or just metal.
