With the hassle I've had with some ballers on here and the hassle with me NT and now losing out nearly £500
I've had it I've spent to many hours thinking and fighting over the hole balling part.
All I wanted was a nice marker to use and to be proud of and I've ended up with nothing but hassle.
Unless there is a very nice person out there wants to pass on a DM12 PURPLE then I would stay
Thanks again everybody who has post on here.
Mate, there are c@%*s in every sport, and unfortunately, they sometimes commit awful acts like the one you have had to endure. You're not alone buddy; one of the Celtic Banshees girls had a marker stolen not long ago, and I was crapping my pants for the past week waiting for a gun to turn up via delivery.
It is a lush gun, lovely colour, and very distinct; I'm sure everyone on this thread will do what they can to help/look out for it, and the more we all raise awareness of it, and the problem as a whole, the more we can do to combat it.
I know guys who make 'secret' marks, or notes on the interiors of their DH MTB frames, and PB markers, and take dated photos or sign/countersign and date the notes they 'hide' the bike frames. May sound odd, but all of this goes towards helping identify their property if (god forbid) it is stolen. I worry about my climbing gear getting nicked too, so just try to mark it with my initials or have a dated photo of it or something (although admittedly PB gear is usually more expensive than climbing gear).
I totally know what you mean about a nice 'individual' marker to use, that one can be proud of- I'm in the same boat as you regarding that, but remember to be proud of yourself, the creature behind the marker...
After all, at the end of the day... the marker is just a tool, and it's nothing without the player
Don't worry too much, don't look back, stay in the game and you will be fine
