Cheers for the pictures. The close up of the fixing bracket makes life a little easier :)

One I am going to make like the original with the stock set back, the other I am going to bring the stock forward so it's under the back of the gun, making it look more like a real thompson.

I'm making the wooden pumps based on the real thompson front grip, so it will be square with a channel down each side. (A bit like the Sanchez machine gun pump kit you can buy)

The grips will be whatever wooden 45 grips I like the look of :)

good luck w/ the build -- a word of caution : I know the spacing of the stock to the grip frame can get "too close" and uncomfortable very quickly as the stock presses into the back of your hand. I had to move mine back to make room. The design in pics was the revised version.

My new toy just arrived from the states.

Splash Black/Green Phantom with right hand feed, bottom line, 45 grip frame and a 14" freak insert barrel.
My old phantom is suffering from pitting inside the aluminium body so after 18 years it's time for a new one.

That's because you yanks are just weird.
We started life with the 12 gram, then 7Oz bottles, then up to 12 & 20's
It's the natural progression, unless your american:rolleyes:
Y'all were still running 12 grams chilled in a bucket of water to chrono as late as 90 for your tourneys. US went to bottles at the Music City Open in 89.
