Right, then I'm stumped. If you see one let us know. Same applies to all you SoCal kids. If you see the ad tell us when it came on.

It only looks ****ty to us because we know what the game looks like now...To the outside though,to whom the commercial is aimed at,and who have never seen the game before, wont know the difference..I think just getting them there is the main objective...I 100% agree it looks like a very cheaply made commercial but I think its just as effective as a well made one when promoting to the outside..

From Warpig...

Leading up to the tournament, Paintball Sports Promotions placed television commercials promoting the spectators in heavy rotation on Los Angeles area television stations - most as heavy as one commercial per hour, in order to draw fans out to watch the games and visit the trade show.

1 per hour.. Me thinks theres some **** talking goin on here..But I have the TV on so we shall see...

headrock...

not really my point...

I work in advertising, if you are trying to sell soemthing you make it as appetizing as possible.

Sure the video might look "interesting" to those outside of the sport - but what is needed is a commercial that grabs people and says LOOK HERE!!

What I am saying is that why do something half assed when you can do it right. All they needed to do was either get a couple of teams together and play some games and film it properly.

The game has changed - so does the promotion of it. Showing footage from years past just doesn't cut it anymore.

The best example out there right now is the Super7 video from hungtington beach - now that is soemthing that sells.

Fair point Goose.

Since it's for a commercial there would have been nothing wrong with spending a day and staging it all. As long as it looked good it wouldn't have mattered...

Apart from the fact a load of paintball nerds would have sat on websites all day and slagged them off for it ;)

But seriously, should we really expect any different from the same group that has been doing things half assed for the last couple of years;) ..Bad habits are hard to break..

I think a big part of the problem is that unfortunately,PSP rarely does anyhthing worthwhile so when they actually make some effort, half assed or not, players grasp at the concept that maybe there is some hope for the future...Lots of players have invested a $hitload of time to PSP that I guess we try to hold out as much hope as we can even though we've been promised the world before..Sorta like the French when Saddam destroys 10 of his 4000 banned missles..(please people, not a thread jack, just a point:) )So I think what were seeing is more of a likeing to the effort and not the commercial so much...

But your right..I never realised just how good the HB video looked until I just watched em both...It really does make ya wonder just what they were thinking when they released that commercial to the masses....

agreed, it was all too apparent :(

PSP report - B for effort, C for execution
