PSP off season shenanigans!

Although Damage were a Dye backed team they were financed by a single very rich owner.
The decision to wrap up the team wouldn't have come from Dye.
When Damage won Cup I was told, by a team insider, that the finances of Damage could survive the loss of support from CJ should he no longer wish to fund the team. However, it would appear, tis no longer the case!

Tampa Bay Damage folds
Rumours of DYE having issues running rampant.
As Marco said, DYE never had any ownership of Damage, so their demise adds no credibility to any rumours surrounding DYE (which for the record are just that: rumours)

Also, 'losing' TonTon, Vision, Hulk or any other team does not strictly mean that DYE could not 'afford' them. There are plenty of other factors surrounding sponsorships and the relationships that go with them.

Was'nt Hulk put down to the civil war and Ton Tons had been on the end of a long run ,which with PSP involvement had stated the income and spending was at full stretch.Since PB Nation has recorded a downturn in gross business for all US manufacturers .A realignment of spending is no more dramatic than night following day.If Dye were planning on folding ,they would just stop, cease trading .Someone cutting back to match income/expenditure is the actions of someone looking to weather a storm so to still be trading for when the upturn eventually comes .

Absolutely ash but from a layman point of view they see x number of dye sponsored team retiring and zero being promoted. Which leads to a net loss in sponsored pro teams...at this time. Should this change, then opinions would change. The smart business would be a statement saying " we wish x teams well and understand their individual problems. We at dye continue to support the sport through Y teams and wish them well."

Ash, understandably you are defensive on Dye's position, The message I was trying to imply was that Dye had fewer top division teams, though they do have the likes of Poison Ivy, Benfica, Scorpions and others, assuming they continue playing and with Dye, Teams change sponsors all the time, "factory" teams being the exception, and only the start gates, or announcements, at the start of the season will reveal who is supported by whom ;)
