shake. The Xbox pad is an ergonomic masterpiece.
Add ons, with the PS, you can add on wireless keyboards, photo readers, any usb device, it's a dream. Xbox has propreitery devices, such as the wireless adaptor. Has to be microsoft... but on the other hand, it all looks good and works good. The wireless headset is ace, but do you get one with the PS...? I think you should, if you're going to go live... Still, I got a bluetooth headset so no matter, I can play my ps3 and talk on the phone at the same time.
Extras. The internet browser on the PS is genius. Imagine being able to plug in any usb keyboard, and surf youtube whilst drunk in your living room. Fabulous. That's something missing from the Xbox. As is the lack of a HDMI port. They claim the 360 is HD, it may well be, but without a HDMI lead, the data transfer isn't. HDD can easily be upgraded on the PS3, xbox is again, a proprietry HDD.
To summarise, both amazing consoles. I'm glad I have both so I have all the options. If I had neither, I'd buy the PS3.

I've had to type this in 3 sections, as I'm using the PS3 browser and it won't let you type too much text in one body, but that aint a problem really, is it?
So in conclusion, buy a PS£. And a 360. Then make your own mind up.

Or buy a ball in a cup.

Cmon we all know PC OWnZ
Sadly not... constant changing hardware/specs to get the best out of games. Then different ways to have to play each of them online.

It may be at the cutting edge of technology in terms of games and hardware, but all that comes at a price in terms of both cost and user input/knowledge.

I am an IT consultant and have no problems with PCs etc, but do feel sorry for people who do not comprehend why there new game looks ****e, or theycan't work out why they can't play online due to firewall ports being closed...

Cutting edge yes, ownz... no...

theyre releasing the xbox 360 elite soon, its black and has a much larger HDD and comes with a HD cable i think.
Buy a black case, a 2nd HDD. And it comes with a HD cable anyway?
There you have the elite, for less money ;)

I've got one of each, plus a sh!t hot PC, so I'm making comparisons purely on quality and ease of use (not because I'm stuck with one machine as I can't afford the others).
I've just finished playing resistance fall of man online vs 36 other players, no lag, sitting in my front room on the big TV in comfort. I've got my PC hooked up to a projector, but frankly if a release title is this good, it only bodes well for the future.
A year down the line, how far will the games have come on? I'll guarantee one thing, my PC will be obsolete by then.
This may be the first year I don't bother with an upgrade.

Most of these arguments come down to one simple thing....... those who shout loudest are the ones who have one console and don't intend to/can't afford to get anything else. Most of the shouting is them convincing themselves that they've made the right choice.
I'll summarise with..... the 360 was quite impressive when I got it (somewhat flattened by perfcet dark being crap). The Wii is a bit of a laugh but soon loses it's charm, the PC is great, but you can't lounge about in comfort with a mouse and keyboard and you'll never have a balanced game as no two PC's are the same. The PS3 has really impressed me, in fact, the last time I was this taken with a purchase was probably the N64 and goldeneye. Maybe even command an conquer on the PC. It's got that same feeling of being a real step ahead.
Add to that the Blue ray disc player and the easy to manage charging of the controllers and it's got a lot going for it.
So, I've got one of each and I like it best... that's an opinion by the way. You can't argue with it as it's inherently correct ('cos it's mine :) )

Oh, also, I like sitting in my front room with mates playing on the consoles, sitting on the PC alone at the same desk I do my paperwork always seemed a bit sad.
Mouse and keyboard may be good for playing games, but the whole thing is very solitary.
