Right, just out of curiosity and then fact i cant seem to find the answer anywhere, does anyone know the differences between the proto matrixes and the dm series?? particularly looking at the dm 5 and 6 and the proto 5 and 6.
there seems to be some price differences but not sure what the extra bucks get you.

plus the fact that to me proto stuff seems to be ablot like the original dye products, just alot cheaper and abit less "blingy"

anyone help much appreciated.

cheers.

I would always go for the proto markers over the dye ones, purely as they are usually smaller and lighter, have about the same performance, and are usually a few hundred quid cheaper!!

Main differences are bells and whistles on th DMs - you decide whether the Hled in the grip, a clamping feedneck, UL, On off valve on gun is worth the extra few hundred pounds.

i also believe that the proto runs at slightly higher pressure and a touch more efficient but were talking ammounts that arnt really even mentioning

Erm... I have.

Then I bought a Proto6. There was quite a difference between the Proto5 and the DM5, but with the DM6 they've brought the two so much closer to being the same gun.

The DM6 is a phenomenal gun (in my opinion, The Best Gun Made. And yes, it deserves the capital letters) But a Proto 6, with UL frame is lighter (Just) more efficient (slightly) and roughly £300 cheaper. With the UL frame, it has all the fire modes that the DM has, it's slightly shorter & actually feels much better in your hand.
