1) Meaning that, at year's end... ahh? Yes? See?!?!?

2) Tell that to Pete Rose. Selig is the man blocking him from the hall of fame. And Bud is NOT A PLAYER! Rose WAS! Politics is a show of force.

And a player draft is NOT THE SAME as open tryouts, hence the original problem. You're either IN THE LOOP, or you're LOCKED OUT!

EDIT ADD And what would I have to do to get into this "draft" then? Declare eligibility? Do I have to renouce the NPPL or PSP? Kiss the ring? What? If I have to declare I'm eligible, then let me take this opportunity to declare that I am 100% eligible for an X-Ball draft, with no sponsorship issues NOR scheduling issues to get in the way. There, I said it, I feel better.

3) Intresting you should mention that fact. The Doors went to Europe to get 'discovered'. So did Hendrix. So I think I'm in some good company, writing for a brit magazine.

Why? Because I say I'm eligible?

Look, if they're doing an open draft, and they say "Well, you had to declare your eligibility!" then I can say "But I did! See? On PGI's forum!" They can't say I never declared it.

Besides, I never said I didn't want to play. Matter of fact, I believe (and I know people will jump all over me for saying this, as they usually do...) that I can not only hold my own, but I believe I can take more than a few players to school. I don't go flat out all the time, but when I do, I'll blow your mind.

I'm just leaving the door open if anyone wants to call me. They all have my email, phone number, and address from the last few times I've looked for sponsorship for PPIG. Consider my eligibility either "Throwing down the gauntlet" or "Tweaking the nipples of the establishment." or "Hey, yo, I'm over here." Either way, it works.

Anywho, Tyg, I believe you can whip some ass, I know you practice as much, if not more than the big cheese tourney guys. You're a dedicated and cerebral player, I don't think anyone can dispute that. It's just a bit stunning to hear you (uh, read) say you're up for that style of play. Dammit, I know you'll pick this apart if I don't fully explain. I know you've played tourneys, and I know you've said that if you had the sponsorship to cut the costs, you'd play more tourneys, but even then, you've got the rec.-scene aura on high. I think it'd kick ass to see you runnin' the field at an NPPL/PSP/whatever event, it's just not a match in my mind. I suppose the reverse example would be Chris Lasoya charging a castle while heaving paint grenades in a scenario. Just a weird thought. Whew! Okay, you get what I'm saying now?

Naw, I'm in a mental duel with an unarmed foe on RSP.

What everyone seems to forget is that I played in the USPL games, which was the SAME game, back in 2000! We didn't do well, and I'm more than a little upset that my "set plays" were ignored by the team I played with, but for me "X-ball" is old hat, been there, done that. Th diffrence is that this was at IAO, USPL was it's own event.

(I'm even more upset that my ENTIRE TEAM ditched out on the tournament on the second day of the comp, leaving me to stand alone and explain to teams "Umm, look, my guys aren't here, we have to forefit by the rules of play. I'm sorry.")

What I found, playing USPL, is that it's a rec players DREAM. We played short periods, but even then we played on average 5-10 sessions in a single game. One of my players, an NPPL player, complained about the format, citing that he played over 30 games in a DAY. I was in heaven, it was non-stop paintball for an hour. I just wih my local field would do HALF as many games in a DAY.

So this isn't anything NEW, at least to me. The game is 2 years old, the HYPE is new. SO, if they're having a draft, an d I have to declare I'm eligible, I have done so. Hell, I'll play pro ball. I'll even bring my Cocker or the Stroker if it'll make a diffrence to someone. I play better with a pump gun, but I'll go big if that's what they wanna see. And, after watching X-ball, I think I could do it just as well, if not better, than some of those guys.

EDIT ADD IF it'll make people feel better, or help to take me more seriously, I'll even ditch the ears and tail too, if that will make it look like I'm more like a pro or something, and not exude the rec-ball aura. I can look like everyone else, I just like being an original.

And LaSoya would be a blast to play Castle Conquest with. Now I just need to get to CC. I'm all for it, hell, I'd like to see Jerry Braun on the Long Island Big Game field. (Then again, based on the pics I have of him, so would a lot of people...)
